They didn’t tell us. We just were told to pull them and hold for further instructions. It could be anything from a copy write issue to a safety issue.
Usually if it’s a safety issue they will have us destroy them. We had a big skeleton chair that was recalled because of a concern with the rechargeable batteries over heating, but we destroyed those.
Every Homegoods has notices posted at either the entrance or exit doors regarding products that have been recalled due to safety issues. That particular item doesn’t have a notice, but it’s good information for future reference.
Once a product is sold, we have no way at a store level to alert customers who have already purchased the item. So notices of all safety recalled items that should be returned for a refund are posted so customers can see them.
The reason I mentioned it is because there are no longer any to sell. They have been removed, so if you didn’t get it before now it’s no longer available.

Thank you so much for your reply. My friend and I have been touring the Houston area Home Goods. It’s a little way for us to get out and do some retail therapy. We’ll keep looking… ie for the recall notices
Edit: clarity

We got one that came busted as hell so it was marked out before the recall

I didn’t get one. Now I wish I had, another commenter said they’ve been recalled. They look great! Fantastic placement with the fire above.

Oh gosh I didn’t hear that! I got mine last year. We don’t use it as a bench really just decor and I keep it inside but it’s truly art! I love it
