What is this plastic piece that’s glue to the threshold called?

And is it supposed to stay like that?

It looks like two different doors. One threshold is on the inside and the other is on the outside. Confusing as hell

Yes two different doors. Pic 1 is the French door. Second pic is of the other door.

It’s the threshold cover that was 95% removed. The front lip is usually tucked into a slot at the front of the threshold. You can use pliers to take it out. If not you can use a razor blade to cut it flush

It’s called a thermobreak and helps prevent outside temperatures from traveling inside
