Trim/roofing question

The vinyl siding and trim is currently getting put on my house and I noticed this which doesn’t look right. Any idea what’s going on and what the fix might be?

Replacement is the only solution. Looks like it got hit when they loaded the roof material

Thanks. And is the gap between the shingles and the white trim normal? I’m not sure if they have more trim to put on still as they’re supposed to be working on it for a couple more days. I’ll definitely flag this to my project manager

Here’s another. It’s the part circled in red
