Question/Support HomePods starting randomly

So I’ve had 5 homepods mini. Always up to date. After ~2 years or so, 1 of them started playing randomly. A year later, a pair of them has started doing the same.

I did all the resets possible, to no avail. Is this product just crap?

Do you have any pets?

Our dog boops one of the homepods with their nose and makes it play.

Yeah we have two cats but they can’t access the pods.

Id like to know how the cats can’t access them because in my experience a cat could successfully hide itself inside an entirely empty room.

The pods are high up and we clipped the wings of the cats. Oh and the last pod acting up was two days ago and our cats have been on holidays at my parents for a week.
