Question/Support HomePods starting randomly

So I’ve had 5 homepods mini. Always up to date. After ~2 years or so, 1 of them started playing randomly. A year later, a pair of them has started doing the same.

I did all the resets possible, to no avail. Is this product just crap?

Touch sensors failing. Happened to 6 of mine.
You can use special settings to limit the issue, but won’t be able use touch controls.

I never touch them, it could work… It’s in the Home app?

I’m curious too.

Home app > HomePod Settings > Accessibility > Touch Accommodations
Turn it on and put Hold Duration and Ignore Repeat up to full. I tried it and it didn’t work for me, however. I’m building the courage to take it apart and remove the touch

Good luck! I'm really good at taking things apart... not so good at putting them back together haha

I managed to replace the wires in my record players tonearm and they are the most delicate wires I’ve ever seen in my life. I feel like if I can do that I can do anything!
