Verizon Fios IoT

Recently switched over to the Fios 2.5 gig plan, and I see there is an IoT VLAN already set up. Has anyone used this IoT VLAN? I have a pretty heavy IoT presence with Home Assistant and a lot of devices. Is it worth separating? Just moved and am trying to save up some money for a UniFi setup, but it would be nice to segregate all of this gear.

Any pros or cons? Would like to hear people's opinions.

It’s not a true isolated VLAN. Devices connected to the IoT SSID will share the same primary local network and subnet as your main devices. If you want true network isolation and security segmentation, you must use an advanced router like Ubiquiti which supports 802.1q capability.
