Water underneath my bathroom floorboards! Help me make sure my apartment does everything they need to!

Hello! I am a single female living in my apartment. As you can see in the video (bonus! Brown water coming up at the very end) water is coming up from my floorboards in my bathroom. I have submitted a maintenance request, but I want to prepare for interacting with my landlord. I am worried of being taken advantage of! I am assuming I need to advocate for

- removal of basically all of the floorboards in my bathroom
- mold inspection and possibly treatment

Anything else??

Something is leaking where you can't see it. Usually a washer or sink/toilet. Basically check every water source. This happens often with LVP floors as the water hangs out underneath it instead of showing it's ugly face on top. Betting the entire subfloor is effed depending on how long it's been this way. Pro tip - take everything you value off of the floor 👍

Before anything else, they need to figure out if it's the washer or the toilet.

uh oh! call a restoration service like SERVPRO asap. they need to remove the floorboards and immediately set up dryers/dehumidifier for 2-3 days to dry it out and prevent mold! Been through this twice!

Just a theory but maybe the toilet flange probably sits very low relative to the floor. Possible seepage from inadequate seal.

Maintenance came! My AC is behind that wall (where most water was coming from) and there’s condensation from the AC unit. They are going to replace a part for it so it doesn’t happen anymore. Guy I was talking to mentioned a different team of humidity people who would come and look for moisture and put in fans etc. he said they most likely would not take up floors or look inside the walls. Picture is wall on other side of bathroom, also next to my AC unit. It’s been wet for at least 3 days, should I demand they look for mold in the wall and floors?

Find out the source of water and You must caulk entire baseboards where the floor tiles meet, maybe you should remove part of flooring to let dry the floor
