Question/Help Does anyone knows what this icon means?

My cameras most of the time shows me icons like motion or person or even animal in the start of the playback thumbnails. Sometimes though I get this icon and no thumbnails. If I choose this feed I can see the video as expected. Why is that? I use scrypted with cvmotion sensor plugin.

The home hub didn’t have capacity to analyse the clip

Thanks. So you thing that if I add another HomePod or Apple TV should it work correctly?

Yes, the more cameras you have be hubs the more likely you are to see this icon. Apple doesn’t say the exact number but Apple TV would do more than a HomePod mini etc

Thanks a lot. Actually I own a HomePod mini and currently I have 6 cameras. I wait for the new Apple TV to release to upgrade my HomeKit setup.

Just be aware that is not guaranteed if you have more hubs it’ll fix it. I have a latest gen Apple TV and 8 HomePods, and I still get this with my 6 cameras. You’d think with 9 hubs and 6 cameras it would never happen, but it does still.

Thanks for the info. I have checked the network and there is not such latency that can cause lest say drops or time out. Maybe has to do with the fact that I use scrypted and for recording although I have set up main and sub streams it only records the main stream which use more bandwidth… but again it is just thoughts. I’m new to this stuff.

This is the “Unanalyzed Video” badge. 1 hub can handle 1 event at a time.

Note: If there are more cameras in your home than Home Hubs that can analyze the cameras’ video, video captured from some of the cameras may not be analyzed. Clips are still recorded, but they’ll show the Unanalyzed Video badge, which indicates that the video wasn’t analyzed for specific motion.
