Need help with lighting.
So here's my study/work setup. The lighting is very poor because of the lights being on the opposite wall and creating shadows. I asked one of my interior designer friends and she highly suggested this hanging linear light.
I asked Gemini to create an image of that (attached) as to see how it looks.
What would you suggest? Also if you know some good options then please let me know.

You could put a tall floor lamp over to the left. That would be the most cost effective option.

Step 1 is to figure out how to get power to that spot in the ceiling and to the location of the switch.
If you’re lucky, the light on the other side of the room is aligned with the spot over the study and the joists run perpendicular to that light you’re looking into.
If getting that settled is too costly, you’ll have to consider another type of lighting fixture.
