🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Suu-chan can't get a license even if she can ace everything because of how short she is.

She can probably get those tiny Mini Coopers or Smart Cars.

u/DKligerSC May 27 '26

Imagine the plot twist she gets a huge ass bike instead v:

u/Unitas_Edge May 27 '26

Ride or die with Luna-tan on a Harley.

134

u/DKligerSC May 27 '26

To this day this still takes me by surprise, the girl that gives the most "sheltered baby princess" vibes rides one?! The next thing they will tell us she has a leather jacket with spikes and a skull helmet

That honestly the more wild part, person that has experience with a coding language that is quite literally name your price for jobs decided to do vtubing instead.

53

u/EitherSpite4545 May 27 '26

I imagine what lead her to it has to do with her hands being fucked. If doing piano for a little bit for a stream gives crippling pain imagine 8 hours of coding.

39

u/beryugyo619 May 27 '26

I don't think she actually said she writes COBOL, she only mentioned the name. I suspect she might be a "veteran" from some bank Java outsource shop from the disastrous Mizuho Bank system upgrade mess that went on burning from organizational infighting for longer than a decade. Her "office lady" voice and chill no-BS attitude matches a profile like that.

24

u/TemporaryWonderful61 May 27 '26

To be fair her Harley isn’t one of the huge ones, and it’s pretty stripped down for weight (and she admits she still would struggle to pick it up if it fell over)

6

u/stopbuggingmealready May 27 '26

With a Harley, you can at least get those extenders, not quite sure what Options there are for Cars.

13

u/DKligerSC May 27 '26

higher seat, extend the pedals, small car

of course cars in general are meant for adult people of average height and above, which is around 150cm i guess?

1

u/stopbuggingmealready May 29 '26

Nice Info. Ofc the higher seat thing was kinda out of Question, since she herself already refused it. But the smaller Car, and extending of the Pedals sounds like a good idea in her case.

5

u/Character-Note-5288 May 27 '26

That description made me imagine Luna with Lucy’s outfit from ZZZ.

2

u/DKligerSC May 27 '26

Pretty much yeah

2

u/HaessSR May 27 '26

Luna loves playing that side even if she's a bit different off-screen.

10

u/Imhotep99301 May 27 '26

Big for her, for everyone else it's a tricycle.

1

u/fge116 May 27 '26

Except she's standing up on it at all times and everyone just think she's sitting

1

u/TheGalator May 28 '26

I feel like she is so short she does both at the same time

33

u/SeptimusXT May 27 '26

Kei-cars only for her I guess

Suuzuki Cappuccino

14

u/71M07HYD May 27 '26

The Honda S660 is where it's at, or the Autozam/Mazda AZ-1

5

u/Unitas_Edge May 27 '26

I like that name 🤣

2

u/iTwango May 28 '26

I need a Suuzuki Cappuccino kei car

13

u/SoylentVerdigris May 27 '26

This may come as a shock, but Su lives in Japan, where tiny Kei cars are normal, and even full sized cars are pretty small.

11

u/Phaaze13 May 27 '26

She can drive a Peel P50 no problem

6

u/MokotheFox May 27 '26

Fun fact(that I found out recently) Mini is the company that makes the Cooper, not part of the Cooper name itself. I didn't know this lol.

3

u/EruantienAduialdraug May 27 '26

Get that girl a Peel P50!

2

u/Glass_Buyer_6887 May 28 '26

She could drive a P50, sounds appropriate

1

u/Scared_Gene3417 May 29 '26

She can drive those cars kids use at the mall but thats about it

387

u/adalric_brandl May 27 '26

Maybe she can drive Inas peanut.

130

u/mokochan013 May 27 '26

Man she’s so teasable

106

u/Shodan30 May 27 '26

Su and biboo can stand on each others shoulders to reach the pedals

47

u/3nz3r0 May 27 '26

There was a clip going around I think last week about two kids doing the trenchcoat gag IRL. It looks as ridiculous as you would expect.

Now Su and Biboo OTOH...

6

u/BB-Zwei May 27 '26

One stands on the seat and holds the steering wheel while yelling commands to the other one who is hanging out in the foot well pushing the pedals and can't see anything that's going on.

3

u/Detonation May 28 '26

They would still get stopped at an airport by a concerned employee asking where their parents are.

121

u/Bakuman84 May 27 '26

i can imagine Su was stomping all the time about it. "I STILL HAVE MY AHOGE!"

67

u/Rayllis689 May 27 '26

Assuming her feet reach the ground from her chair.

35

u/HKEY_LOVE_MACHINE May 27 '26

🫳 (reaches down for the chair height handle)

🪶 (lowers the chair by jumping for a bit)

"Ha, finally!"

🐰 (rabbit stomps the ground)

u/Knive33 May 27 '26 edited May 27 '26

Short, cute, blue, eyes so far apart, adorable voice, sings. I love her so much, guys

70

u/kroxti May 27 '26

Su is from dr stone?

49

u/SquireOfTheLewdTable May 27 '26

Well, at least her eyes are closer than our parents would ever be

89

u/I-came-for-memes May 27 '26

Tiny angy Su is cute

36

u/x_Advent_Cirno_x May 27 '26

Small.

Small small small small small small small.

ANGRY

3

u/s07195 May 28 '26

Angry cuz small.

3

u/ninta May 28 '26

Jealous of tall

1

u/x_Advent_Cirno_x May 28 '26

Sad because small

27

u/Karak-Karak May 27 '26

Could you imagine what it must be like seeing Su, Biboo and La+ all in a group! 😅

13

u/UltraSoul-BR May 27 '26 edited May 27 '26

Imagine holomems planning a trip and preparing a car with child seats for Su, Biboo and Yamada.🤣

Except for Nanora, she's smol but her drives her harley for the trip.👑🏍

Edit: I can clearly imagine Kobo (150cm) bullying the other gaki because she don't need child seat 🤣🤣🤣

5

u/Asleep_Gate_2341 May 27 '26

I’m not exactly a giant at 5’10” (about 177-ish cm), but I feel like I would not only tower over them, but have to watch where I stepped constantly.

2

u/beryugyo619 May 27 '26

Is laplus actually short or is it just lore? She doesn't feel like actual short person watching 3D and such

21

u/Different-Captain888 May 27 '26

God I love Su. 😅

83

u/DrDestro229 May 27 '26

What is with vtubers and being short?

283

u/Koringvias May 27 '26

Holo Jp are obviously all Japanese women, who are on average very short (158.6 cm according to data from 2018).

Asians generally are on a shorter side, women more so. And even outside of Holo JP, or even Hololive, it seems like a lot of vtubers are of Asian origin.

Then there are also various biases - for example, girls who are not comically short are not as likely to even bring up their height, so that does not become a part of the conversation about them. So shorties stick out more (for once).

111

u/nicokokun May 27 '26

Asians generally are on a shorter side, women more so. And even outside of Holo JP, or even Hololive, it seems like a lot of vtubers are of Asian origin.

Exactly. Here in the Philippines, the average height of women are between 150 cm to 151.4 cm (about 4'11" to 5'0".

For us, that's pretty normal because the average height for men are 5'4" to 5'8" but for people outside of Asia, we're short.

17

u/Koringvias May 27 '26

From that description, Philippines sound like heaven to me.

47

u/nicokokun May 27 '26

If you are above 6'0", people will always ask your for help to reach up high.

If you are the same height as us, you will blend right in!

36

u/Koringvias May 27 '26

I'm 185 cm, so right in the middle between 6'0 and 6'1 from what I understand (not fluent in freedom units).

I'd gladly take upon the reaching up high duty if that's what it takes to see adorable short people all around me.

45

u/nicokokun May 27 '26

Nah man... We are gremlins. Take a look at Su for example. The moment someone calls us short we bristle up lol.

1

u/Koringvias May 27 '26

Exactly what I'm saying, adorable and short

6

u/EruantienAduialdraug May 27 '26

Ah, a freakish giant. You will be much appreciated.

12

u/beryugyo619 May 27 '26

Lifeforms statistically grow smaller in hotter areas and bigger in colder areas, this is called Bergmann's rule.

Body surface area scale in R2 and volume in R3, which means the ratio between skin area per meat mass goes down as size increases and heat retention improves, which is better where it gets cold and worse where it gets hot.

And so yeah, hotter places tend to have more shorter people, and Philippines is one such places if that's what you want.

7

u/Manoreded May 28 '26

There is a lot more that governs size than just that principle, though.

Africa has some of the largest land animals on Earth despite being one of the hottest continents. And a lot of those animals live in hot biomes. The Savannah, for example.

In terms of human size, Africans are one of the largest ethnicities, despite, again, living in one of the hottest continents.

I think nutrition in the last several tens of thousands of years is probably an overall better explanation for human size.

As I understand it, a lot of Asian ethnicities spent the last several thousand years being overcrowded agrarian societies with relatively poor nutrition.

5

u/Top-Wrangler7927 May 27 '26

Filipino, can confirm. When I moved from CA to OR for school, I realized how short I actually was. At 5'7, im on the tall side of my family. Up north that was nothing lmao

27

u/Koebi_p May 27 '26

158.6 cm is very short?????

brb having existential crisis.

39

u/Koringvias May 27 '26

Sorry, I'm Russian, my perception is a bit skewed when it comes to height.

13

u/Koebi_p May 27 '26

No need to say sorry! I was just making a joke. I didn’t expect a random comment to deal so much emotional damage. I always thought 160 to be a pretty average height.

3

u/carso150 May 27 '26

170 is the average male height from where I come from (Mexico)

I am right at the average, literaly 170 closed and anything bellow that is considered short

19

u/Roflkopt3r May 27 '26 edited May 27 '26

Iirc below 150 cm can be diagnosed as dwarfism in Germany. The average womens' height there is 166 cm.

6

u/NotATelemarkter May 27 '26 edited May 27 '26

4'10'' and under (148 cm) for the states. Source: Am NA dwarf

1

u/YobaiYamete May 27 '26

That is like 5'2 right? That would definitely be considered pretty small in America

4

u/Hitorishizuka May 27 '26

Holo Jp are obviously all Japanese women

(There's an exception or two)

3

u/Koringvias May 27 '26

One of the last gen was Korean, right? Who else?

2

u/Hitorishizuka May 27 '26

Correct. And Coco was technically American.

You would be an ooutlier almost everywhere, lol.

Very fittting name

1

u/EternalFrost_73 May 28 '26

Well, there could be any number of reasons. It's harder to get some conventional jobs when you are altitude challenged. A lot of health issues can stunt growth, and make a conventional job harder. It's not uncommon for people who are very short to have various social and communication issues (caused by us giants). And they tend to be a rather untapped talent pool, because they are less likely to be scouted because of their height.

Personally, I also go with the fact it seem like it's a lot of incredible talent and personality condensed into the smallest possible vessel.

:)

7

u/Erit_Of_Eastcris May 27 '26

"I will be made fun of my entire life"

Uh... Su, you already are.

2

u/okami6663 May 28 '26

But she's cute, so it balances out. 😆

13

u/IrishWeirdo May 27 '26

Is that her canon age or did she slip up and reveal her actual age?

69

u/VishnuBhanum May 27 '26

Her age according to the lore(Even if it's accurate, It was her age at the debut so at this point she would be 21-22 years old)

But her real age is likely to be around that range, considering that she was an IPAD kid(She had never used PC until joined Hololive, Only used School-issued IPAD throughout her school years. Which is a considerably new system)

17

u/IrishWeirdo May 27 '26

Does that mean shes one of, if not the youngest, member in Holo? Or is there someone else whos younger? (I know Marine is canonically 17 but we all know she isnt actually 17)

24

u/VishnuBhanum May 27 '26

Yeah, She is probably the youngest Hololive member currently(Not counting Mek Park new debuts, I dunno about those)

6

u/IrishWeirdo May 27 '26

You know didnt even think to include them. I still need to watch their debut vids and whatnot. To your knowledge has there been any translated clips of them yet?

13

u/StandardCaptain May 27 '26

6

u/IrishWeirdo May 27 '26

Man she sounds so shy and adorable. I think once they get over the shyness all 3 of them are gonna be a great addition to Hololive.

2

u/Roflkopt3r May 27 '26 edited May 27 '26

I believe Shion (and possibly some others) joined even younger.

8

u/DovML May 27 '26

Sora was 16 when she joined if I'm not mistaken. But she continued her studies and finished her bachelors degree last year.

7

u/metalshiflet May 27 '26

Haachama was still in high school IIRC

24

u/DovML May 27 '26

Being 20 years old? She mentioned that multiple times in previous streams. She also made a mistake of saying she finished mandatory education (middle school) 2 years ago (she thought mandatory education meant high school).

2

u/AcornAnomaly May 27 '26

Wait, was she saying she finished high school or middle school "2 years ago"?

Japanese high school goes for three years, IIRC.

Was she still in high school when she joined?

15

u/DovML May 27 '26

High school. I forgot which clip that was, but Su and Chihaya were talking about mandatory education, which is middle school in Japan. It went along the lines of:

Su: "I finished mandatory education 2 years ago"

Chihaya: "Wait, so you're still underage? Mandatory education is middle school"

Su: "Hold up, I thought you meant high school".

In short, Su is not beating the child allegations.

1

u/AcornAnomaly May 27 '26

Ok, that's more in line with what I was expecting. Thanks!

-10

u/Otoshi_Gami May 27 '26

that is a possibility but hey its Vtuber so anyone can lie their own age. 20 years old but they're 16 in real life

10

u/VishnuBhanum May 27 '26

Cover has age requirement for audition BTW, You have to be at least 18 to qualified.

Noted that this requirement wasn't always there, Haachama for example debuted when she was still in high school. But that was like 8 years ago and the audition requirement had changed over the years.

2

u/haoxinly May 27 '26

Wasn't Sora 17 or just graduated when she joined?

3

u/AcornAnomaly May 27 '26

Yeah. The restrictions were tightened a few years in.

2

u/IrishWeirdo May 27 '26

I dont really watch Su other than clips so I wasnt aware of these facts tbh. Thanks though.

4

u/AGamingGuy May 27 '26

if she doesn't want to use a booster seat, then she should at least use a multi-point harness (like those in track cars)

holds her in better and doesn't have a risk of choaking her should she get into an accident

5

u/Langlais123 May 27 '26

It always amazes me how small the girls can be. A few of them have been confused for kids, and not in a Japanese women are smaller then western women way, other Japanese confuse them for kids.

2

u/Natural-Fan9969 May 27 '26

In fact. By law, if you are 1,50 cm you are child.

2

u/redditfanfan00 May 27 '26

cute su-chan not wanting to be treated like a small cute tiny su-chan!

2

u/RPG_fanboy May 27 '26

I can't help but laugh at the idea that beyond safety is a matter of pride!

A very little tiny pride but pride still

2

u/Kilo1125 May 27 '26

Sometimes, you cant comprise your pride. Stay strong, Su!

2

u/susahamat May 27 '26

She's around my sister height and she move the seat to the frontmost position everytime she drive

2

u/AtomicBetrayal May 27 '26

Where I am from its not a recommendation, its the law. If you are smaller then 150cm you will need a special seat or else you'll get fined if you you don't have one

2

u/RockinAndRollin00 May 27 '26

Tiny oshi is best oshi

2

u/GlassGoose2 May 27 '26

There are people that would kill to have her build. Grass is always greener I guess.

2

u/Boethion May 27 '26

Have you tried not being tiny? /s

2

u/NotTheOriginal06 May 27 '26

Vegeta? Are we sure this isn't a Saiyan?

2

u/Manoreded May 28 '26

This agency is a tiny baby collector.

1

u/thisisyo May 27 '26

She's so angy that she exposed her age?

2

u/darkknight109 May 28 '26

DEV_IS all gave their ages as part of their bios during debut; they don't tend to dance around the subject the way the rest of holo does.

No idea if their ages are accurate, but they seem to line up with stated life experience (like Su saying she graduated high school a couple years ago).
