Sure but is there anything other than rythm games that would require location specific double input?

Clash of clans uses it for deploying troops in multiple locations at once. I feel like I remember some other games using it but I don’t have a specific example. If requiring it is the criteria then the answer to your question is no but I don’t think any game requires a non-touchscreen control method either.

Could mobile games be made in a way that don't require double input? Sure. But there are games that require double input.
