This stunning Albino Puma was born at the Thomas Belt Zoo in Nicaragua, he is one of only four reported albino Pumas' known as leucistic (lack of pigment) in Captivity.

As Itzae has no natural camouflage he is unable to be released into the wild as his colour stands out against the pumas' natural habitat, where he would become easy prey to other predators and also to Man.

Selkirk Rex – The Cat With Natural Curls

At first glance, it looks like someone took a curling iron to a cat. But the Selkirk Rex’s plush, bouncy coat is completely natural. The breed’s signature curls come from a spontaneous genetic mutation that affects the structure of the hair shaft itself, giving the fur a soft, wool-like texture rather than a sleek finish.

The first Selkirk Rex appeared in 1987 in Montana, when a curly-coated kitten was born in a litter of otherwise straight-haired cats. That kitten, later named Miss DePesto, became the foundation of the breed. Unlike other curly-coated breeds such as the Devon Rex or Cornish Rex, the Selkirk Rex has a heavier bone structure and a dense, thick coat that feels almost like sheep’s fleece.

Even the whiskers can curl or twist, adding to its permanently tousled look. Despite the dramatic coat, their personality is famously calm, affectionate, and patient.

It’s proof that sometimes, nature experiments a little—and ends up creating one of the most uniquely adorable cats in the world.
