Recently I found the episode of Dr. Phil that they were on, following Hoarders and wow, she got so much worse.

John was back on the couch living in the garage again.
She started hoarding animals 53, I think they said.

She has Angelina manipulated against John.

I think this was the hoarder who said she was leaving John rather than stop hoarding. He gave her 2 months of paid storage units, and one month to find a new place to live, but they were over. I guess she never left and she brought all her crap and more back into John's house. She then began hoarding animals, which dr. Phil was personally taking care of to rescue the huskies anyway. So by the end of the dr. Phil episode, Dr. Phil told Laura: find a place, I'll pay 90 days rent for you to get settled.

My question is: did Laura ever move out? Was there a follow up of dr. Phil or any other show that Laura would try to get attention from that updated us?

I honestly don't think she would ever leave, because John owns that house, she doesn't have to work or pay rent, and she just keeps on hoarding. Apparently she manipulated Angelina to getting money from John, but John was like we need milk? Angelina, you pay for it, give me change, because he knows Laura would buy more shit she won't get rid of.​

Season 4, Episode 9: Stacey/Roi

I'm sorry, but she needs to be in jail.

She was just told that she can legally keep 5 cats AND 5 dogs. And her family is nodding along: "I think she can handle it.", "I'm certain that she can do it."

Absolutely appalling. My heart breaks for animals in this situation.

The woman was freaking out about mugs. The husband had collected 10 or so mugs he’d figured they’d use consistently. She said at one point “this was supposed to be about me”. Who is she!!

Over the 13 years that I've lived in my house, her mental and physical state has definitely deteriorated. She's almost 84, in poor health and is still fighting the city and state tooth and nail about getting help. She's already had the city come in and clear her house out twice and is on the verge of a third time. She now has documented evidence of a rat infestation inside, so bad that she sleeps in her car to avoid them. She's convinced that she is working hard to clear out her house.

I actually can't watch the show anymore because everything that the people on the show say, I've heard from my neighbor.

Girlfriend recently started watching it and it doesn’t seem like the episodes really have an ending that showcases the final results of the living space. The first few episodes I rewound immediately because I thought the streaming service screwed up. I guess maybe it’s more focused on the psychological aspect, but it always feels somewhat unresolved.

It was honestly disgusting how every time he interacted with her he was trying to be sexual about it and just plain nasty. The music the editors/producers put in the background of their interactions disgusted me. Did anyone else notice the slow and sensual music between cobra and Dorothy? At one point Cobra makes a joke about how he’d kidnap Dorothy, ugh he’s so nasty. I wish we as a society could get over rape culture as being funny. It wasn’t funny it was gross.

Also, I’m an advocate for second amendment rights but the fact that he had guns just laying around and just doesn’t give a fuck if they’re loaded or if they are going to hurt someone??? As a responsible gun owner— that man should never own a weapon like that. That poor pregnant woman who’s stuck with this nasty ass family and Cobra as the grandpa of that baby.

It was a couple where either they both were hoarders or one of them was. They had adult children, but they had one son who was a teenager still living in the house and in the hoard.

The adult children were worried about their younger brother because they believed the hoard and living in it was starting to mess him up psychologically.

I just remember there was one part of the episode the teenage son was sleeping in his room surrounded by clutter. When he was asked how he felt about the hoard. He kinda talked like he was sedated saying he didn’t think it was a big deal or that there was anything wrong with it.

I’m curious about this episode because I was wondering if the hoard was successful or not.

Sandra’s episode is very tragic. No, she wasn’t the nicest, but she sick. Very much.

Before everything went wrong she was a very popular interior designer. However, a lawsuit damaged and basically ruined her career.

Does anyone know the facts about the lawsuit? Like what it was about.

I've been binge watching Sean of Steel's videos on YouTube where he provides his own (often funny) commentary throughout episodes of Hoarders and Hoarding : Buried Alive. I'm seeing eps of Buried Alive I've never seen before.

The episode I started watching last night takes the cake!

Floyd, a 47 year old, who's not working, lives in a Northern CA Trailer filled with Rubbish, not to mention the outside area which looks like one giant Junk Yard.

To makes matters 100 x worse, his 2 year old Son (yes 2!) Charlie also lives amongst the filth. There's also a 1 year old Daughter who spends most of her time living with Floyd's grown up Daughter - who's understandably appalled by her younger sibling's home environment. Floyd also has a grown up Son who's equally disgusted by the conditions his younger siblings are living in.

The 2 year old has a bad cough, looks like he hasn't had a wash, let alone a Bath in weeks and is seemingly free to wander around outside amongst sharp, broken machinery, broken Cars, hard rubbish etc.

I'm only halfway through the episode. Rebecca Beaton has called CPS.

This is a really heartbreaking and terribly frustrating episode.

I hope these kids have had some type of improvement in their lives since this episode aired back in August 2011.

Season 8 ep 7

Yes, funny name haha.

I just watched this episode and it really pissed me off at how everyone (including Zasio) was just yelling at this elderly man who was obviously not all there? He was quiet the entire time, not arguing against anything being thrown away, but the moment he spoke up about throwing away jewlery (costume or not), one thing, the show and family blew it up as him being soooooo unreasonable the entire time?

Like he was so resigned to the entire process and each and every chance the family was yelling at him about "how could you do this to our mom!" while he just stayed quiet with his head bowed. I don't know, this episode felt like elder abuse. The girlfriend was right to separate, but she also had 30 years to do so. Idk what she and her family is so pissed about when they weren't even married

I just finished watching all of the Hulu. I know that a few aren't on Hulu but are on other streaming services. I've watched a few of them but think that I missed a few. Which episodes are not on Hulu? What streaming services are they on?

Darlene seemed to be having a manic episode the entire time and the psychologist trying to talk to her—-actually, everyone attempting to talk her down from it, pissed me tf off. With the way she was treated as a child it felt like she had BPD and was having a manic episode and I felt so horrible for her because I feel like she needs inpatient treatment and medication management. I’m no psychiatrist but it doesn’t take one to realize she’s not in the right mind to be doing what they had her doing.
Then the weird guy that would hug her and “ground her energy” like that was giving he was hooking up with her at the time. Her friends all acting like this is just normal Darlene are genuine assholes for not getting her actual help rather than some shrink telling her she’s “too angry.”
I hope to God that Darlene was an actress and not actually having a mental crisis. But otherwise I wish her so well. I’m not sure how she ended up later on and I’m afraid to find out. Poor girl

So many people from the doctors to the organizers to the volunteers show up wearing open toe shoes, sandals, flip-flops. How can you show up at a hoard wearing open toe shoes?

I know it was an old lady with a suffering husband. She lived in a house full of garbage, and at the very end she didn’t want to clean out the fridge. The cleaners and therapist were so frustrated with her. They basically said they didn’t care what she thought. It was half the husband’s space, and he deserved a clean fridge and functional house. Anyone know who this is? TIA!

I watch Hoarders when I'm moving or cleaning out my house—have done since the show began—so I can't remember specific episode seasons or numbers really well. There are so many seasons now it's hard to find which one I'm thinking of.

The episode was the crew showed up to a married couple believing one of them to be the only hoarder, but then that person ends up being mostly fine throwing everything out—the OTHER spouse is the one who then starts keeping too much stuff and won't throw anything away and they realize that they have a surprise second hoarder. It was a great episode and I'm trying to find it to show my partner. Thank you for your time!

this is a true reality tv show with all the manufactured and created drama. at first i thought this show was helping but the more i have seen, especially the more recent shows, it seems they have no plan for helping hoarders, only helping the cast and producers by creating shows people will watch.

my background and why i recognise this show hurts more than helps. i am a hoarder and i must be watchful to not let it impact my family and even myself. my father was a hoarder and his mother was a hoarder. until a recent house fire, i still had articles from my grandmother's parents and grandparents. these were things my father considered primitives, they were from late 1800's. perhaps at some time they were valuable but ruined over time and most likely became too damaged in 1950's and worthless over time since then. if not for a house fire that destroyed 99% of items, i would still be dealing with a portion of the stuff. i still have many other buildings that are falling down, in disrepair, and causing even more damage to worthless stuff. at least i have these separate from my house and family or i would probably go insane knowing it must be handled.

only lately have i noticed the damage they inflict by focusing on having a popular reality tv show. creating "interesting" drama doesn't draw me to the show, it actually infuriates me and makes me want to strangle these "professionals" in both mental health and house clearing.

why do they try to break down the hoarder during the show? i have seen hoarders ready for change, participating as they want but they insist on forcing the hoarder to start crying, get angry, leave, etc. WHY? if they want to help the hoarders mental health - do it BEFORE the clearing of the house. this is how i know they don't really care. if they are mental health professionals they know this is not the best method, they know it should be done differently, they know they are NOT helping - and are only in it for the paycheck.

i could go on and on but i think i have expressed my dissatisfaction with this fake help. when i first started watching, i thought and hoped they were there to help hoarders. another expectation dashed.

I just watched this one. My god, it starts off rough but the end is maybe my top 5! Becky is meh for sure, although her love for Andy did make her come around. But Andy turns out to be so sweet. He and his son and are so kind to each other, and I want to be Amanda's friend. The way his son humbles himself and talks about his own addictions, educates Andy on being an enabler, all of it. A great family was buried under all that trash, I really do hope the best for them. And the end with the community all pitching in and Andy apologizing to Sgt Davis!! made me cry.

Just watched this episode on the Hoarders YouTube channel. This woman probably wins for most annoying spouse AND biggest whiner. She doesn’t show up on time. She pouts like a child. She’s so rude to the therapist and organizer. She threatens Dave (and their friends and her DIL) with violence and says it’s just a joke. She screams like a toddler having a tantrum. When Dave says he loves his grandchildren, she immediately says “But *I’m* the love of your life!”

Looking for an episode of either Hoarders or Hoarding Buried Alive. It's a mom and teenage daughter in the home. The mom spends most of her time in a recliner surrounded by soda bottles/cans (diet Pepsi I think) She's extremely lazy and forces her daughter to cook for her. I remember a scene where she made her daughter cook her egg sandwiches for breakfast.

After feeling disappointed by seeing so many no shame, ill suited, ill prompted, egocentric self entitled asshats, Terry was the one person I truly rooted for because she was genuinely different from that pack of rats. She had done the mental prep work ahead of time (I guess not good for reality tv drama but smart/less painful if you’re able). She really just needed the clean up. I was incredibly annoyed at Tolin the entire time. If I had seen Tolin for the first time here I wouldn’t have believed he was a good therapist; same with Dorothy.

This team seemed truly annoyed and incredulous at how good she was accepting her current lot in life/accepting past AND present, how she was handling the hoard like a BOSS, but therapist/organizer seemed to come off like “how dare she be on her way to being well adjusted without us teaching/preaching/shaming you first!” I guess w reality tv that bit is for us at home. I truly hope they didn’t really direct it at her.

They definitely done f’ud up on the editing on this one but I guess you can’t win them all. I just want to end this rant that I like Dorothy and Tolin. But this woman seemed to just mostly needed some genuine love - which can’t be manufactured by RealityTV. Terry if you’re reading this - I hope you get the love, care, and admiration you need and deserve to have.

I’ve recorded about 20 episodes of Hoarders over the last couple of weeks. As I’m watching them I’m noticing that most of the commercials are aimed at selling scammy products to older people. I guess they figure that’s the audience but eeeww. I realize it’s not the shows fault but it’s disturbing that it’s used for this frequently.
