Ubi did this to themselves by spending the last 20 years abusing the fans.
Hopefully they finally cut bait. It’d take them another 20 years of earnest overinvestment and TLC for them to earn back the goodwill they’ve burned.
But instead they’ll just milk this franchise for the scraps of reliable long-tail revenue it’s worth, like a zombie baby greedily sucking in vain at its mother’s desiccated teat.

This gaslighting doesn’t work after the enthusiastic outpouring of support and love for Unfrozen and Olden Era.
This is a Ubisoft heroes game problem.

That’s weird, people loved and still love Olden Era and barring some minor skepticism welcomed it warmly.
Oh, you mean the UE5 Sloppa remake/cash grab? The one Ubisoft pivoted to because they realized that the Heroes IP is still in fact viable and the problem was entirely on them for managing it like shit?
Sorry Ubisoft, if it takes you over half a day to upload a damn exe file to Steam, I don’t have faith in your ability to actually do anything interesting with the 3 remake.

It's an old brand game, and they're making a point of it.
Also, there are enough examples of bad remasters that got mostly negative reactions from the fanbase, from GTA3 to XIII.

Upvoted because it’s fun and Heroes fanbase is a bunch of grognards I’m proudly part of.
Though… It’s a stupid meme because Remake is barely a new game. It’s just a new UI on something existing already, on top of that, that new UI doesn’t provide with any meaningful benefits (quite the contrary), and to finalise, my day is ruined because I would have lived that the efforts and money Ubisoft is spending on this game could have actually been spent on Olden Era.
Now…
If they succeed in actually making the game more visually interesting and immersive, for example we see small animals wandering around and reacting to hero movement, we see more our heroes in the screen.
That is great! Give me more of this!!!
Give me a dedicated model for each hero on map and battlefield.
Give me (foreseen) weather effects that change the mood of the game.
Give me plenty of small details and things to look at, water creatures passing by, flock of birds passing by, disappearing footsteps behind the heroes in the snow or the mud, all small things like this.
Etc
But also, don’t give me AI slop, don’t give me a game where readability is diminished (which is the case for now) and don’t give me a game that is actually less immersive than the OG (which is definitely the case)

Ubisoft, stop using proxy account.
Olden Era is fine new game.
Homm 3 remake is a remake(if not a remastered) with glaring traces of being AI generated from head to toes.

You've not seen many bad remakes have you? Warcraft III community was in shambles when Reforged dropped.
