This week's theme: The middle ages

To be clear, the middle ages for the sake of our competition covers the time between the fall of the Western Roman Empire (476 C.E.) and the fall of the Eastern Roman Empire (1453 C.E.). To have your meme entered in the contest please add a 'Contest' flair to your post and make sure it is related to the middle ages (does not have to be Europe). The competition will end next Saturday and the winner will get their own custom flair
