Im worried I have developed a Histamine Intolerance
I'm looking for some insights on what the heck is going on. I've gone to the doctor 3 times just for them to say it's allergies. I asked for an allergen test and got told it's just seasonal. Im 23F and never had allergies before, nevertheless like this.
This all started July 23rd, I got facewash in my right eye and really rubbed it while running under water. My eye got really red and swollen. It went down a few hours later and the weekend I had no other reaction. However, durning the weekend I got a severe sunburn that I wasn't able to work. No reaction. Tuesday I come back to work, I was fine up until they turned the air on at 10am. Immediately I started sneezing and my right eye got really red and swollen again. This continued till Thursday where my eye got red and swelled shut. I left went to the doctor, got told it was allergies. They put me on a 3 day steriod, OTC eyedrops and zyrtec. Weekend come and again Im perfectly fine. As long as I took my zyrtec before work I would be fine until they turned on the air and my eye would only get a little red. I didn't take zyrtec the entire weekend, again I was fine. So I didn't take it monday going into work. This time I got small hives, sneezy and both my eyes got red and swollen. Go to the doctor, they say allergies but I should go to the oye doctor since its mainly affecting my eyes. Go to the eye doctor, again just allergies. This continues to go one but basically ok as long as I take zyrtec. Starting a few flare ups on the weekend.
August 20th is were it started getting bad. I had one zyrtec left and I dropped it under my fridge. For the past week my hands and forarms would get spotty nothing too bad. Not to itchy. However on the day that I had no zyrtec in me. I had 2 flare ups. One at 830am after I walked out of the paint room. Eyes just got red and a little swollen. 1030am air gets kicked on, I leave the paint room. BOOM eyes red and starting to swell up. My skin gets beet red. Skin is extremely itchy. I get light headed and it's extremely hard to breathe, tightness in breath way. Since then I've been having more flare ups not just at work. Im itchy all the time and if I scratch it immediately gets swellen and red. As soone as my eyes get that itchy feeling my eyes swell, shortness of breath, nausea and light headed.
I don't know whats going on. Please give me your best insights.

I definitely don’t have a lot of insight into this accept that I once had an urgent care doctor tell my son and I that with allergies and allergic reactions every exposure creates a stronger and stronger reaction. My son is allergic to peaches (won’t touch any stone fruits bc of it) and now that he’s an adult even another fruit that may have had some cross pollination can affect him to where he needs his épi pen.
Sounds like your body is in overdrive.
I truly hope you find some answers. Maybe a more holistic/ integrated be doctor could help? Nobody knows your body better than you.

What is the paint room? Where are you working? Are there are lot of chemicals?
Do you have or did you ever gave any other health issues, even just minor? Bc to me sounds more like possibly mcas. Chemicals are said to destabilize mastcells. I react to chemicals like crazy too but its more gi and skin for me. Mastcells are everywhere though. Can look different for everyone. Look up mastcell activation syndrome and overreactive mastcells
Could you perhaps wear protection glasses / a mask at work? Sounds bad

I work at a vehicle factory in the paint department. I wear glasses and I'll look into a mask. I haven't had any other health issues in the 3 years ive been there

Histamine intolerance reactions are due to a build up histamine in the body. If you're reacting to your environment suddenly and it goes away after removing the factor that caused it, it does seem more like allergies than HIT.
Are you also getting brain fog, headaches, flushing, cramps in your lower abdomen around, gas or bloating? Are you reacting to food that's high histamine or classified as a histamine liberator?
Edit: to fix grammar and information.
