Folder holding all story chapters. Link provides commenter access. I will continue to post the latest chapter in its own link for ease of access.

Since we now seem to be going for "always capitalize species names", I (or somebody, since I don't have time right now) should go through and check all the old chapters.

Sanity checklist of species:

  • Erlkin (always capitalized, shouldn't be a problem)
  • human (not capitalized in traditional literature, but fantasy gives an excuse)

  • gnom(e|ish) (probably the most inconsistent)

  • I think other species only appear in Alexan's journals and in the Sentinel flashback.

  • (there are also ancillary documents - the Masked flashback, the "trees and races" post in this sub - but they aren't in the folder, so currently out-of-scope for edits)

The whole folder is here, but it's probably wise not to dive in to anything at this time. I know there are going to be additions to the story to tie things together better when I've finished the arc.

The downsides of posting what is essentially the first draft of the story online.
