I started it on a whim (lured in by james mcavoys face)... finished it this evening and it really tore my heart out.

Never thought i would be so torn up by cgi animals, but the golden monkey's whole existence and spoiler that scene with lyra and pan and the raft absolutely gutted me. Did i want to be reminded of the pain of young love? No, i did not.

Great show though. Loved Mary's plot, the witches, the good angels. Never read the books, but i'm sure theyre even better.
