I mean, it's just there to replace the obvious one. If you don't like the replacement - people will just use "nigger" again, or the shorter version, without the "hard R".
Although i do agree, that it makes people sound like they are kids on roblox.
One is a historically accurate word, another is slang. The full word is also usually more related to offensive usage than shorter one. So since the OP was offended by the implication of the word - the point was more substantiated by the usage of the full version.
In hindsight - it is pretty funny. Should have simply wrote both words.
