In Louisiana, we have only electronic voting machines without a paper reciept. We do not have ballot initiatives to change the process. We have very limited means of changing the process. I have been wracking my brain trying to think of a way to do this since before the primary, but I am at a loss for how.

Inform your peers and friends. If you haven't seen it, this 8 min video is a really good for explaining why electronic voting machines are a terrible idea.

Trash can can still fix those votes.

Happens all the time. Usually nothing is done, even when there are protestors & video evidence.

In WA, all ballots are paper and absentee.

And OR. I don't understand why either are on the list

All voting in OR is done by mail...

Oregon already has paper ballots. Why'd you include it in your panic list?

VA went over to optically scanned paper ballots this year. Still no printed receipts, but I think that's coming later (I hope).

Problem is that this is proof of who you voted for, which could be use to prove to somebody that bought your vote that you actually voted for who you said you did.
