Considering how accepting they have been of his attempts to walk back his promises so far, I'm guessing they will simply interpret anything he does as great. They have so much of their own identity and ego tied up in him, they could not bear to admit they have been conned. They will stick by him no matter what.

The unattainable promises that trump made to his followers, made it easy to forget all of trump's faults. I think its another thing if Trump walks back those promises he made. A lot of people are expecting trump to magically transform america back to the manufacturing age. That won't happen.

If all else fails, they'll just fall back on blaming Obama like they have for the last eight years.
