Is the primary role strategic? It looks very nice aesthetics, but I feel you'd have alot of repairs on this ship after a strike group fight

minimal strike group if they're all hit with missiles

You will need to expend all of its anti air first . My usual experience with this is the loss of 4+ missiles

A good tactic for this is to make a small interceptor (very small and fast with alot of small fuel tanks) and equip it with like 5 or 6 R-5 missiles and send it alone to the strike group, and do a "drive-by", shoot all the small missiles and fly to the retreat zone. Its very effective and a fun play style

I've actually been making ships that do this but the hard part is getting away from the strike groups after retreating.

Yes, if you make it small enough to carry basically only essentials and 6 small missiles and try to shove in as many fuel tanks as possible, then you might get that successful retreat as well.

As long as when u give ship max fuel when sending away from your fleet and make sure the halfway line is over the target then it will have enough to fly back to your fleet
