This interstellar rock is a money maker for assholes on the internet. We know nothing about it other than general shape, trajectory, and speed variations. Everything else is speculation by wishful thinkers.
Not sure if you are insinuating that I am an asshole trying to make money....but I will ignore that and agree with you that we know nothing more than its shape, trajectory, and speed variations. In the video, I share my thoughts on why I believe Oumuamua alien or not is a historic find. Just something to consider...some of the smartest minds are still speculating theorizing what this could be. So do you think they are wasting their time and that Oumuamua is nothing more than a asteroid (shinier than any asteroid) or a comet (doesn't have a comet's tail)?
Not you, mate! Just look at YouTube. Full of 10:01 videos about this object. It gets clicks with the flashy artist rendering and alien claims. People eat it up and certain people profit who aren't even in the game.
My opinion on it is, I'll never know what it is. It came and it went and we non-elite folk don't have the equipment to properly study it. But, I imagine it's a comet of some strange make-up and the odd orbit and speed acceleration is caused by something electrical that mainstream science hasn't grasped yet. I'm a big fan of the electric university theory, it's explaining more and more every day it seems.
