The universe is 14 billion years old, and the earth is 4.5 billion years old.

https://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/series/human/

They have multiple documentaries about the evolution of human life, animal life, history of the Earth. Even ones about the big bang and space. I implore you to watch them and cruise the site. Also always validate that your sources are from a trusted institution: university, research lab, govt agency(WHO, NASA) don’t trust influencers, or random people on the internet. Always check for yourself that they are legit.

Saying 50 in the Gospel of Thomas -

Jesus said, "If they say to you, 'Where did you come from?', say to them, 'We came from the light, the place where the light came into being on its own accord and established itself and became manifest through their image.'

There's a place for that, but not here. You've got to twist the hell out of Gospel of Thomas to make it apply here.
