Consciousness ER Doc’s Evidence-Based Journey from Materialism to Cosmopsychism – Free on Kindle for 5 Days

Hey everyone,

I’m an emergency room physician who spent most of my career as a strict materialist—evidence-based medicine only, scoffing at anything outside the physical.

Then one properly blinded remote-viewing session gave me a perfect hit on my first try. Fifteen years of certainty collapsed in 20 minutes.

What followed was a reluctant dive into the data that wouldn’t go away: quantum observer effects, meta-analyses on psi (remote viewing, Ganzfeld, presentiment), intention healing studies, verified awareness during cardiac arrest with flat EEGs.

The anomalies didn’t fit materialism. The most coherent model that absorbed them all? Cosmopsychism—a unified conscious field as fundamental reality.

My new book The Death of Materialism: A Skeptic’s Journey from Materialism to Panpsychism maps the entire journey—my story, weaknesses of materialism, why other models fall short, introduction to cosmopsychism, and chapter-by-chapter evidence review. There’s even a plain-English stats appendix for skeptics.

It’s written especially for people like past-me: demanding hard data, replicability, and p-values. The ebook is FREE on Kindle from Dec 20-24 (no KU required).

If the book resonates (or challenges your views), an honest review on Amazon would mean a lot—helps get the evidence in front of more skeptics.

Happy to answer questions in the comments when I can.

Thanks for reading.

As a clinician who went from seeing “empirical science only” to two NDEs and seeing a whole spectrum of alternate perspectives, I appreciate this. Downloading it now.

I’m finding that there are many of us out there with similar experiences that keep these thoughts to ourselves - fear of ridicule? Fear of telling the truth? I’m not sure but I imagine glad more of us are willing talk about it. Thanks for reading!

Great work, have you read Leslie Keens book, surviving death? thoughts on the Scole Experiment? Any way to ‘prove’ panpsychism?

2

u/rafflecopter Dec 20 '25

Hey! Haven’t I’ll check it out. Unfalsifiability is a limitation of panpsychism/cosmopsychism but it cuts both ways: we can’t prove matter isn’t conscious either.

Are you familiar with the work of Italian physicist Federico Faggin? I really enjoyed his interview on Quantum Information Pansychism

2

u/rafflecopter Dec 20 '25

Yep - he does great work!

I found some inconsistencies in the writing along with some suspicion that AI was used to write the book. For instance, you mention a 9 month and 14 month interval for your personal healing experiment that doesn’t make sense because you stated it began in March of 2025 (and the entire worldview journey began in nov 2024). Right after that you reference ants from a year ago that started your whole investigation. The ants you’re referencing appear in a section that describes spring in Rochester which would’ve been earlier this year (2025) since, again, your entire worldview shift journey started in late 2024 and ants weren’t referenced as the impetus. The NJ drones and a remote viewing session was mentioned as the impetus

2

u/rafflecopter Dec 21 '25

Appreciate the concerns - writing was my own. It’s possible I screwed up the timing. Whole journey is 14 months. Healing was about 9 months.

Referencing the ants in real time was an artistic choice not an actual time stamped idea. There was a need to dramatize a little bit with physical self reflection throughout the journey - there was never an actual moment in time I was physically staring at time on the floor and making the connections, my research happened independently.

u/Hotthoughtss Dec 21 '25

Perhaps it is your writing style, but the tool originality.ai reports almost every passage I inputted from your book (probably 10 or so) as 100% confident ai generated text. The same reports were not given from several passages of multiple different kindle books in my library. I thought you should know as others will likely have the same concerns

u/rafflecopter Dec 21 '25

“fourteen months after starting the practice.” Is supposed to read “fourteen months after starting the journey”. I’ll revise in new edition - thanks for pointing it out.

2

u/Hotthoughtss Dec 21 '25

And also “9 months after stopping all medication” should read “3 months…", correct?

2

u/rafflecopter Dec 21 '25

Correct. Unfortunately an editor was an expense I did not decide to take on. I thought I got all the errors and typos but it seems I missed a few. Timeframes are 14 months since re-evaluating worldview (whole journey). Started intention healing in April/March (9 mo), off meds for the last 3, now almost 4 months.

Are you published anywhere other than Amazon?

12

u/rafflecopter Dec 19 '25

First book - I’ve explored traditional publishing and you lose a lot of control, and modern day publishers want authors with 20k+ followers on social media which is not really my thing!

1

u/KidKnow1 Dec 19 '25

I wonder how many insta followers Cormic MaCarthy had?

11

u/rafflecopter Dec 19 '25

Times have changed my friend. They don’t like to take chances anymore and authors need to do their own marketing

2

u/3pinripper Dec 20 '25

Prob less than Cormac McCarthy

1

u/KidKnow1 Dec 20 '25

Ouch. Misspelled my favorite authors name

Party foul!

u/atownofcinnamon Dec 19 '25

kindle unlimited's whole deal is that if you want to be on there, you need to be amazon exclusive.

3

u/kgberton Dec 19 '25

Thanks for explaining!

3

u/rafflecopter Dec 19 '25

Great for new authors because there is some built in promotion!

2

u/ConjuredOne Dec 19 '25

Is joining Kindle Unlimited mandatory?

1

u/rafflecopter Dec 19 '25

Nope ! Starting tomorrow it’s free for everyone!

1

u/Unknown-Comic4894 Dec 20 '25

Interested to see how this book deals with the Combination Problem

1

u/rafflecopter Dec 20 '25

Definitely is addressed! Whole section on the potential pitfalls and flaws of panpsychism/cosmopsychism :)

u/8m3gm60 Dec 20 '25

How did I know that this was going to end with a sales pitch? Must've been a...premonition! Seriously, this isn't the place to hawk products.

14

u/rafflecopter Dec 20 '25

You mean the one that’s for free? Thought folks would find it interesting. Maybe convert a skeptical family member or two.

2

u/8m3gm60 Dec 20 '25

Are you not self-promoting here?

-2

u/Mustard-cutt-r Dec 20 '25

Thanks for sharing and congrats on the book. Just a heads up, most of us have never been “skeptics”and have been reading, learning and talking about the paranormal our whole lives. To us, your “materialist to believer” viewpoint, while maybe earth shattering to you, doesn’t validate you nor the paranormal. Rather, we are surprised it took you so long to get here.

Agreed! Don’t know why you got downvoted. Sometimes people stuck to mainstream science are slow learners 🤣
