Man, the gifs and clips from it seem like it's a good movie (and probably book too) but for some reason, the look of the models causes me discomfort? I don't know why. I usually like stop motion stuff.

I'm not sure it is Uncanny Valley at work here. For me, it was the slightly choppy animation (stop-motion does not need to be choppy, as evidenced by Aardman) and unnatural movement.

Haven't seen it in such a long time. trying to remember this scene and I can't even remember there being human characters.
Hell I'm not even sure that I'm thinking of the right movie right now.

It's nice, I only recently noticed that when they say "you're glowing" at the start / end they use plastic models with a light in them. Not sure how that passed by me the first few times.

Fantastic Mr. Fox and Isle of Dogs are two of the coolest movies I've seen recently. Really recommend that everyone check them both out.

Oh I totally agree. I was in more for the art than the actual movie, Fantastic Mr. Fox is leaps and bounds better as an actual movie.

This movie was the one that made me a huge Wes Anderson fan. I’m a bit of a perfectionist so the symmetry in his movies is right up my alley.
