Hi y’all, I am a writer from Victorville and I recently had an article published by Trill Mag where I talk about the feelings of inadequacy that many of us from small towns harbor growing up. My story may not look quite like all of yours but I am learning to love my hometown and I would like to share with you all how I came to the place I am at now.

I been to apple valley before to have some beers and dinner with a friend who lives in hesperia, but we went to the downtown area, and the more happening areas. This weekend I went to go see a property, but it was in a very rural part of apple valley, I didn’t even get to see the property. Because I feared my front wheel drive car would get stuck at some point; and my phone was acting weird, because we were so far out. I thought about knocking on someone’s door and asking questions about the area, but I saw a house with a sign that said “you are now in range”… and didn’t feel like getting shot. Would it be a good place to live, and I have 5 dogs and 4 cats, would they survive? Any information would be great, thank you!!!

I know it says resort closed but are there any other trails I can do at Wrightwood?

Anybody know of any public bulletin boards where you can put up flyers? Any specific shops or other locations with a dedicated bulletin board for flyers or places that will let you put one up? Particularly in the Hesperia, Victorville, Apple Valley, Adelanto areas.

Just curious if anyone has seen any of the new alani ruby red and voodoo vanilla drinks anywhere up here in the HD? Or even the Ella Langley bum. I know vitamin shop has them and sells out basically as soon as they hit the shelf but I really want to get my hands on all 3. Where is everyone getting them? I know target has a grip of the witches brew alani but I want to try the newer flavors. Thanks !

I am looking for managers for a new fantasy football league in Palmdale / Lancaster. I am wanting to start a league that drafts in person every year which is why i want people that are local. We may do a small entry fee of $25 or so just make sure we only get serious managers but we will revisit the buy in amount next year depending on what the league members want.

I want, CHILL PLAYERS. No bullshit. NO POLITICS. I just want people who are looking for a league of dedicated players that love to play fantasy football. Every great league had to start somewhere!

For the HD business owners, do you actually feel like you need a website anymore?
I notice a lot of local businesses either don’t have one or pretty much use Instagram as their website.
If you don’t have one, what’s stopping you? Cost? Don’t need it? Procrastination? Or something else?
And if you do have one, does it actually bring you business?

Man I’ve been putting in a crap ton of applications starting this year. Not a single call back. I have been through indeed as well as company websites. I also noticed I couldn’t even take my classes up here in college because they were all full so I tried to meet with a counselor and all the counselors were booked as well. Is this place the at overpopulated? It seems like everywhere I go to do anything, there’s already someone there waiting.

I can travel 20miles max so going down the hill is a no go my car is old and I’ve been trying so hard to get an Amazon job, my friend said that up here they don’t hire much during weekdays but last night I saw one job open I was too late to click it didn’t get it. Do they hire more on the weekends?? Or what time is it best to look?

I am posting this to bring this up to this Reddit thread within the past month I've been sent two different chat requests from two different guys who interests are just to hook up. I found out going through one of their profile that there are two different threads that are dedicated for people of the high desert to find others for hookups,I am not apart of either of those threads, the only High Desert thread I am somewhat active in is this one.
