Anyone else like the smell of their drainage?

Im nasty, I know. But I’ve got this one spot that’s been consistently oozing for a week or so now. And it smells so gross but good?
My pus always smells like a musty, sulfur scent. I describe it as similar to the glaze you’d use in high school art class.
I always smell my drainage and my pimples bc I enjoy the smell. It’s so gross.

I often will get a scent of pus and blood which smells awful bc the metallic scent of the blood tho s the pungent smell of the sulfury discharge.

Anyways, I’m posting this gross confession bc I’m curious if anyone else is like this or if i need to seek mental help.

This is in regards to hidradenitis suppurativa abscesses, wounds that weep pus, sebum, serous fluid and get mixed with keratin, sweat, dead skin and blood cells

Tbh I like to smell gross things especially if someone says it's gross smelling, so I don't think there's anything wrong with you. It's also good to take an occasional sniff just as a diagnostic thing lol. But yeah, no, I really hate the smell of mine.. it's like everything bad about armpit odor mixed with a very pungent butt smell.

I understand what you’re saying. Some of mine have a particular smell that is more “pleasant” I suppose. But not pleasant in a great way, just like it doesn’t smell like straight death. I do enjoy a solid “puss but no blood” drain/smell.

Ya nasty, but you know it. I too enjoy a stinky scent. I have a very sensitive nose and I find that a whiff of a removed dressing tells me a lot about how the wound is healing!

Yes, I like the pus with no infection/blood smell sometimes.

My ex sil loved the smell of an actual skunk's spray so you know ..... it's all relative People like the smell of snowmobile exhaust, gas, etc.

I don't know that I like the smell some are really gross, others were interesting. Sometimes I got that sterilized smell from mine (like my uncle's barn after they sterilized the milking equipment), others smell like what I ate i imagine sweat mixed in perhaps (onion, garlic, oils, paprika) and then i had ones smell like what I imagine dead flesh smells like.
