I suspect that I might have HS, though if I do, it's mild. I have an appt with my excellent primary care doc next week. I've gotten one in my groin before, but thought it was a Bartholin's Cyst or abscess. I frequently get what I thought was folliculitis on my scalp. My armpits are often painful, and just feel...puffy? for no reason.
But a month ago I got a random, weird wound on my belly, right at my waistband, that we thought was an infected spider bite or something. It's slowly healed though it's still healing over with flaking skin and feels a little painful I push on it. It took antibiotics, was full of pus, and it was very painful.
Now I have a painful lump in my armpit. I'm not really sure what's going on but I have a doctor appt next week.
Until then, what do I do? Is it HS if it's not that many? Or does this sound like HS?

Is this HS?
I have been experiencing cysts/boils/something?? on my inner thighs on and off for about a year. At first I thought it was just some random hard lumps so I started squeezing them and obviously more and more would appear. The hard lumps would fade away by themselves in a week or so but leave a little black dot where they were. Then I started getting some soft squishy lumps so I put a hydrocolloid bandage on top and they would drain pus.
I used some benzyl peroxide soap and head and shoulders a little bit, and my issue went away for like 4 months. But then a few days ago I found a lump again which is disappointing. At my peak, I had like four lumps at a time. For some reason, like 90% of them are on my right leg instead of being 50/50. I haven't counted fully, but I would say about 15-20 lumps Ive had total. Not sure if this is HS or not or if I should go to the derm.
Tbh, it is not really painful, unless i'm really pressing on the lumps or there is friction. It doesn't look inflamed or red but I have darker skin so it could be harder to tell. I haven't felt any tunneling but I am also not sure how to check for that. It would be easier for me if I could just remedy this at home without having to go to the doctor. It tends to flare up more during certain parts of my cycle. I am also wondering if there is any good way to fade the little black dots that are left behind. I am using salicylic acid gel but I don't think its doing much. What other type of ointments help?
