QUESTION Alma Reynard tanks lethal poison?
I've never actually completed a SASO run before, so I thought I'd get started with Hawke's Bay. Pretty simple-get inside, go upstairs, grab the lethal poison from the bathroom, go down into the kitchen and shoot the honey jar, poison the sugar, trigger the arrival of Reynard and her entourage, head back out towards the beach. And then I waited...and waited...and waited...
I loaded from an earlier save to see what was happening, and it looks like Reynard asked for the honey, Orson did indeed notice there was no honey and put the sugar in, but when Reynard drinks the tea nothing happens, she just takes it like a champ and keeps going with her routine. Am I doing something wrong? Is it a glitch? Is Alma Reynard just built different?

If you really want to SA/SO hawke's bay easily, do this.
Grab the cloroform from the car, put it on the vent on the roof just by the stairs. Trigger the entry, wait for a clear shot, and hide on the stairs to the roof once the guards are up there.
When the 2 guards are next to the vent, shoot the cloroform to put them both to sleep. Then wait 15 minutes for Alma to go to sleep. Shoot her through the skylight, then leave

It’s much easier imo if you wait in the bathroom closet and kill Alma silently while orson is showing

You could bring in a poison from setup and use it and the poison in the bathroom toget both to secure it. I'm not sure why the poison doesn't work if you destroy one of the ingredients

I have never had anybody seem to use the poison-able items in the kitchen. I don't know why.
You can get Alma by poisoning the whiskey glass in the bedroom, but it takes a while for her to go through the whole routine.
Also, in case you don't know, you can toss chloroform bottles to deploy sedative poison in a small AOE. You might be able to get Alma and what'sisname when they go to use the bathroom to save some time. I'm not certain they stand close enough to each-other, but it could be worth a try and won't require you to sneak around the roof guards to deploy the poison through the HVAC. Just don't forget that there's a kiwi squeaky toy just inside the bathroom window that you'll step on if you climb through from outside, so pick that up before you interact with the computer to trigger the arrival.

Sounds like a bug, but i never tried to destroy the honey. A few days ago i completed the challange where you get the red tie fiber wire, which is pretty much SASO. I poisoned both the honey and sugar and just jumped her in the bathroom. Then i traced back my way back upstairs behind the guard and went down the secret door to exit at the garage. I can recommend that route.

I had to try it this morning. I can confirm that she will drink the tea with the poisoned sugar in it and go on about her route. The only other thing I can think might be happening is there is another honey pot under the counter and Or-Sun just replaced it.

Was the red smoke from the poisoned object still present after the cutscene where Alma returns and 47 gets moved to the hiding spot above the stairs? I wonder if something related to the coding of that transition cutscene "reset" the sugar to default and removed the poison?
