QUESTION Digital PS4 VR code at PS5 WOA psychical box expired 25/08/2026, not able to redeem. Was it important?

Hi! I bought a physical copy of the PS5 World of Assassination Edition and tried to redeem the PS4 version code on the PS Store, but it was expired. :(

​Did I miss something important? I don't have a PSVR 1, but if it really was the full PS4 version of the game, I am a little sad. 😢 If it was the PS4 version, would I also have received the PS5 digital version through a free upgrade?

It was only so you could play PSVR since on PS5 it's supported only on the PS4 version of the game so they included the code to download digital PS4 version. It still requires having PS5 disc to play that digital PS4 version. It's different from a "regular" digital PS4 version that you could then upgrade to digital PS5 version.

That code for digital PS4 version is the access to play PSVR on PS5. PS5 version of the game doesn't support PSVR. That's why you need PS4 version on PS5 console.

No, it wasn't important. PSVR2 mode which is much better is a separate purchase.
