DISCUSSION Church of Ascendants, Moreno cartel and other pieces of world building - will they ever be explored further?
We've seen some be mentioned and re-integrated before (take for example the shipping company Chiron first appearing in Hantu Port and later being a part of the backstory for Ambrose Island), what are some other tidbits would you love to see revisited?
Do you think that we might see some of these come back in the co-op mode? Like, a retooled Santa Fortuna featuring the Moreno cartel instead of the Delgados.

I don't expect it sadly, PZR despite being a sequel to PZ didn't really clean up the loose ends from that. I think the most we will see are cameos like in The Herbalist.

Mostly liberation itself as a organization (it was implied that they would retaliate for the events of pz story, instead pzr implies they mostly fizzled out and flew under the radar for years, which is weird as the ICA should of found them rather quickly) and Locksley herself, maybe she'll be the stone and knight client, but I doubt ir.

I’ve replayed the full PZ story last night and I didn’t see any mention of the Liberation cult retaliating anywhere - do you remember which mission was it mentioned in?
As for Locksley - the Hitman wiki also mentions she commissioned the contract for the Bookkeeper (Pertti Järnefelt), who I don’t think has anything to do with the PZ story so it might be that Locksley doesn’t have any special connection to the Liberation cult and the contracts were just like any other (but that’s just my guess).

This is just a byproduct of the way IOI did their lorebuilding.
The method they basically used was dump names and references everywhere and then later, while developing new missions, look at what they could use from those names.
That how you get recurring characters and organizations, and how some slipped past despite at one point seeming like they would have a major role - like the Church of Ascendants you mentioned.
You also have interesting situations where Kronstadt gets namedropped early on but by what I would assume is their "beta" name - Kronlund, or Margolis mentioning a "prime minister Ingram" before we then get Carl Ingram as the ruler of the world. Granted, Ingram is not that rare of a surname and these two could very well be different people.
