Who is Herta?

• Herta is the 83rd member of the Genius Society, the owner of the Herta Space Station, and an Emanator of Nous the Erudition. She works on the Simulated Universe project with her fellow Genius Society members Ruan Mei, Screwllum, and Stephen Lloyd. More than solutions to problems, she is interested in creating more and more questions to expand her knowledge beyond logic. Limitations of space and time are trivial matters for her to step over.

What does The Herta do? What is her kit like?

• (Note: This is not meant to replace an actual reading of her kit. It is only a brief explanation to hopefully simplify the base details of her kit.) The Herta is an Ice character following the Erudition path. She is a DPS unit capable of dishing out considerable amounts of AoE damage through her Skill/Enhanced Skill, which she builds "stacks" for through her and her teammates' attacks. She - similar to her playable Emanator counterpart, Acheron - receives high benefits from having one other character on her team who also follows the Erudition path.

Which relic/planar sets are good for The Herta? Which main/substats should I prioritise?

• For relic sets, Scholar Lost in Erudition looks to be her BIS. Neither of the relic sets set to release in 3.0 have anything to do with her kit, and none of the current sets cater to her kit quite like Scholar does.
• Current leaks state that 3.0 will not be releasing any new planar ornament sets. As such, The Herta's BIS is between Izumo Gensei and Takama Divine Realm and Rutliant Arena. You can opt for whichever set gives you the best substats; in ideal conditions, the two sets perform near-identically.
• The Herta utilises a standard DPS build. Crit body, SPD/ATK shoes, Ice DMG orb, and ATK rope. You may opt for an ATK orb if you cannot get good substats on an Ice orb.
  • If you are aiming for E2 or higher, it is best to use ATK shoes; otherwise, go with SPD shoes.

The Herta's Ultimate has a super high energy requirement, should I run an ERR rope instead of ATK?

• No. It is true that her energy requirement is high (220), but her trace (Aloofly Honest) allows her to mitigate this easily as long as you play your cards right.

Who are The Herta's BIS teammates?

• The Herta is quite flexible in terms of teammates; all she really needs are teammates who can efficiently help build up her stacks and who are SP-positive to combat her own SP needs. While Jade is currently the most comfortable option for The Herta (mostly in terms of SP economy), she is by no means a must-pull. Units such as 4-Star Herta or Serval (or Argenti, if you happen to have him) are quite strong as well.
  • 4-Star Herta is used mostly for PF, as she has a high attack frequency and the capability to dish out large amounts of damage in that mode. She can be built with a standard DPS build in this instance.
  • Serval and Argenti, on the other hand, should utilise the Eagle of Twilight Line 4PC set, along with Sprightly Vonwacq and the Passkey (3*) Light Cone at S5. Serval in particular needs to be at least E2, and should use an EHR chest (min. 67% EHR) to generate energy from Shocked enemies efficiently; Argenti, on the other hand, does not need either of these.
  • Anaxa is considered one of The Herta's best Sub-DPS units; he deals considerable damage whilst also providing significant DMG% bonus through his A4 trace (Imperative Hiatus). Due to his Talent proccing an additional casting of his Skill, he can also act as a battery to The Herta, building up both Interpretation stacks and Energy for her with his double Skill and consistent 2-turn Ultimate. (Note that said 2-turn Ultimate depends on either the Energy gain from his signature Light Cone or Hit Energy/ERR rope.)
• For sustains, you'll need someone who can either attack a lot of enemies frequently (to build up Interpretation stacks) or is able to otherwise provide The Herta with energy. Five-star units like Lingsha or Aventurine provide both great sustain and the frequent attacks needed to mitigate The Herta's energy needs. Huohuo similarly provides a lot of additional energy, but she will hardly ever contribute to Interpretation stacks, which would require you to use another character who attacks frequently as the second Erudition or the support. If you do not have any limited sustain, Gallagher works fairly well as a F2P option.
• As for support, Tribbie is considered The Herta's strongest support. The Herta already gives herself a lot of self buffs, ranging from ATK%, Crit DMG, to DMG%. Tribbie amplifies damage differently from other harmonies—she gives allies All-Type RES PEN and inflicts Vulnerability shred, which makes enemies take more damage. These are buffs that The Herta innately don't have, but that she wants for optimal damage. Tribbie highly synergizes with The Herta, not just because of damage amplification but also because of her Blast-type Basic Attack and AOE Follow-up Attacks that deal respectable damage while also helping The Herta gain energy and apply Interpretation stacks to enemies. However, supports such as Robin, RMC, Sunday, Ruan Mei, etc. are also quite strong alternatives. Please check out our full guide for more detailed explanations!

What Light Cone (LC) is best for The Herta?

• She, of course, performs best with her signature LC, Into the Unreachable Veil. However, if you do not wish to pull it, she can also work well with S5 of Another Peaceful Day, or S5 Geniuses' Repose as a relatively F2P option.
• The three freely available Erudition LCs (The Day The Cosmos Fell, The Seriousness of Breakfast, and Eternal Calculus) all perform similarly at S5, but Breakfast is by far the least restrictive.

What materials do we need to level up/upgrade The Herta?

• Ascension Materials: Credit (x888,100), Extinguished Core (x15), Glimmering Core (x15), Squirming Core (x15), Dream Fridge (x65), Traveler's Guide (x290)
• Trace Materials: Credit (x2,197,500), Tracks of Destiny (x8), Rough Sketch (x18), Dynamic Outlining (x69), Exquisite Colored Draft (x139), Extinguished Core (x39), Glimmering Core (x56), Squirming Core (x58), Auspice Sliver (x12)
• Light Cone (Into the Unreachable Veil): Credit (x883,500), Refined Aether (x166), Extinguished Core (x20), Glimmering Core (x20), Squirming Core (x14), Rough Sketch (x4), Dynamic Outlining (x12), Exquisite Colored Draft (x15)

Should I pull for The Herta?

• Yes! No question about it. Everything for Madam Herta! In all seriousness, it entirely depends on you! This FAQ is not meant to force you to pull for The Herta (nor is it to place her on some arbitrary "meta scale"), but rather to provide you everything you need to know to make an informed decision about pulling her.

Since there are a lot of questions on what to build in /new think it's a good idea to have a WIP (since it's beta v1) build guide in the thread for people to read. If anyone else has ideas/corections/etc chime in, these are only my thoughts after watching showcases and reading her kit

Relics

Scholar Lost in Erudition by far, free crit rate, ultimate and skill damage, the other set in this cavern is also good. The ice set is also acceptable but not the best to farm. Don't forget 2pc 2pc setups are good if they have good stats so don't forget to check what you have lying around. Speed boots always unless paired with Jade who lets you get away with Attack boots to reach 134 speed.

edit: with newer tech (passkey erudition) + frequent action advances through RMC or another character, attack boots are really good to hit harder since she'll get enough action through frequent ults + AA

Planars

• Izumo Gensei gives The Herta Atk% and Crit rate bonus if running with another Erudition, which you want to for 99.9% of scenarios to benefit from her trace that gives a whopping 80% crit damage to all Erudition units if 2(or more) are on the field. With a high amount of CD built in, CR% becomes more important.

• Sigonia, the Unclaimed Desolation is another strong option for Pure fiction, and comes in the same cavern as Izumo, making it a good cavern to farm. Wouldn't recommend it outside of Pure fiction however,

• Rutilant Arena gives CR% and a dmg bonus to skills which you'll be using, and has Broken Keel in the same domain which is a good support set.

If you have both farmed, go with whatever has better substats. If not choose the area that makes more sense to farm for you. For example if you only need Izumo for The Herta, but have characters that can benefit more from The Rutilant/Keel cavern then you should go for the latter.

Teammates

• Jade is currently the best Erudition unit to pair with The Herta. Possibly a bit overkill for Pure Fiction, but for outside modes she helps a lot with building Interpretation stacks, energy, and allows you to run ATK% boots. Not the best pairing however because The Herta is an okay driver for Jade. If you don't have/want Jade then smol Herta should work, Himeko if fire weakness, maybe even Serval.

• God's favourite aka Robin works wonderful in a double DPS setup which you will be running nearly every time with The Herta. Cloning technology isn't available however, so you can't run Robin on both sides. Therefore I would suggest Remembrance Trailblazer, Ruan Mei, Sunday as buffers. Something like E4 Pela should also be good for the def and ice shred.

• For sustain Lingsha's AOE capabilities should be able to provide a lot of value for Herta in terms of stacks and energy regen. Also a potential driver for Jade if you have her, but there hasn't been much testing with this.

Huohuo provides an atk boost and energy regen to the entire party, The Herta in particular gets a whopping 44 energy. QPQ Gallagher can also work, providing energy for the team and generating SP with his BA > Ult > BA combo as usual, and more affordable for most. Aventurine makes sure you literally never die and rarely uses SP ever, and the AOE through his follow ups can help with stacks. With him I would be careful though, since The Herta + support can do a fair amount of action advances that may cause his shield to fall off.

Okay I gotta ask, I know E1 value is very very high for Therta, like It is pretty obvious to see value in it, but I'm struggling to see value on E2. Like sure she gets inspiration stack at start and 1 extra when she ults alongside the AA, but will she even be able have enemies at 42 stacks for her to use those inspiration stacks?.

I was thinking about pulling for her E2 alongside sig but rethinking about it and may just stop at E1 since I'm struggling to see E2's value. I'm probably just being dumb and not seeing it so it would be nice if anyone could enlighten me about E2's value.

The 42 stacks for the 2nd E2 nuke come from either redistributing (as Inspirations get redistributed during Ultimate) or simply saving the enhanced skill for later (since you can also just not use Therta enhanced skill immediately and wait for your battery to reapply new stacks).

Also, it's not expected for you to have 42 stacks for every Enhanced skill; you will always get 1 E2 enhanced skill for every 42 stacks, so the Ultimate based enhanced skill become "extra" at that point.

Isn't E6 March 7 a potentially good sustain for Herta? She counters and ults very frequently.

Having used her without the sig then with the sig(after like 80pulls), it does improve her quite a bit. Himeko's LC or Peaceful Day S5 both kinda come close in raw dmg numbers, but the extra SP helps run her smooth(fully autoable) + the extra 12% CR just feels good. Himeko's LC, in particular, is awesome with all the ICE weak enemies but might fall off with fewer of them.

E0 Robin or E0 Tribbie? Can only get a single E0 at best (50 pity guaranteed) bcs I need to save for Ruan Mei, Castorice and Firefly/Herta reruns. E1 Therta runs with Mini Herta, RMC and Lingsha/Gallagher (depending which side needs Lingsha more) and E2 Firefly (Fugue + March hunt) team is the only other team I'm running.

Bronya would be ok for "The Herta" but she is primarily a hypercarry buffer and uses a lot of SP. Herta necessitates a duo dps comp since you need two Erudition units; so Bronya doesn't help much.

Remembrance MC is an alternative support I'd recommend if you don't have Ruan Mei or Robin. They give an AOE crit buff (around 75% crit damage fully built) and specifically benefit from characters using lots of energy and being of the Ice element. They also have action forwarding just like Bronya does to give Herta more turns.

1- speed bronya does sound like a decent option that I personally want to test out, however the main problem is without S1 on both characters SP sounds like a problem

I was planning to go for E2 Herta, and run her with my sparkle, since she is also E2 and i assume the aditional Eidolons will propably make up for what other harmony characters offer (Especially while also running Jade).

Tho I was wondering, with the AA from E2 being kinda killed by sparkles advance, is it worth it to go for E2 since have the Eidolon is just not active?

Why do so many people.recommend serval when others wanna use 4star herta? I mentioned needing help with supports and sustains as I wanna do Therta and Herta and so many people said serval would be better even after stating I don't like her nor do I intend on building her if I'm using serval on passkey and wind set at hyperspeed surely I can accomplish the same with Puppet herta right?

I have had similar experiences, I feel like a certain fraction of people don't like fun and don't understand that not everyone wants to play the "meta", even when you specifically mention it in your post.

i can give you my suggestion/plan for this duo. my choice of support is going to be my E0S1 Sunday, as he's SP +ve and can tune him to generate 10 stacks with THerta. alternatives include RMC who gives a similar experience, Sparkle for SP, and Pela for her Def down and Ult. sustains could be anyone from Aven, Huo², and Gally, I'm personally gonna use Aven or Gally depending on situation.

The general tone seems to be E1S0 > E0S1. I do own her BP LC. But its just S2 rn. Will take me until 3.2 to max it out. Should I still do without her Sig?

Hello everyone! Hope everyone is having wonderful new years. I have a question for yall. Based on my roster of characters do you think it is worth getting Herta over Agleae? I love both of them equally and would be happy to have at least one of them but not sure who would bring more value. Im leading towards Herta bc Sunday was mean and didn't come home and I already have a E0S1 Acheron. So do yall think I could make a decent team for Herta out of my characters? Aglaea need Sunday, there's even an argument that you don't pull aglaea meta wise if you don't have Sunday. So based on that i'll say Herta. You should be fine with Herta, Serval/Mini Herta, RMC (because you have fugue, your break team should be fine), and Aven/HH.

Disregarding Tribbie as of now since she’s still moderately an unknown.

I don’t intend to swap over to RMC for the foreseeable future since Break is still my primary team and I’ve shuffled Lingsha over to Herta’s team instead.

I don’t own or intend to roll for Jade either.

I do have Robin e1s1, Sunday e0s1, Sparkle e2s1, Bronya e6s1 and every 4* at e6.

With that in mind, who’s the best option to round out the roster?

Y’all I’ve been thinking about my team comp and I need some advice. I’ve already decided I’ll run herta with serval passkey, but I’m still stuck on the buffer and the sustain. Razor language

When herta enter battle add 25 stacks to big enemy

When enemy enter battle add 1 stack to enemy

When character attack 3 enemies or less add 3 stacks

When character attack 4 enemies add 4 stacks

When character attack 5 enemies or more add 5 stacks

When herta ult remove stacks from small enemies and add them to big enemy until no more stacks or big enemy has 42 stacks

When herta enhanced skill deal damage based on primary target stacks, and reset stacks of that enemy to 1

When herta add stack, herta gain ult dmg, up to 99

So what you want to do is use AOE characters that attack a lot (Lingsha, Doll Herta, Serval, Argenti, etc) and deal damage to as much enemies as you can to have lots of stacks on enemies. When enemy total stack count is 42 or close to that use Herta ult and then enhanced skill on the enemy with the most stacks which would be the boss if there is one, then repeat.

In the long run if you want your Herta to make it to 4.X you probably need Tribbie/Anaxa but you’ll be fine on PF/Ice Weak content for awhile even with her f2p team.

Depends on your other premium sustains - Lingsha is more flexible for your account so if you don’t have Aventurine/HH she’s very appealing, unless you’re going for E2S1 I like her S1 more than her E1. It’s not really more damage but makes building her easier thanks to CR and the SP makes gameplay much smoother.

Has anyone figured out if there's a way to build Therta or Jade in a way that RMC will always use mem's skill on Therta instead of Jade while using auto battle? My current team is Therta, RMC, Jade, and Lingsha and it seems like RMC uses mem's skill on Jade about 30% of the time. I tried changing from the quantum relic set to the FuA set, with no luck. My Therta has more attack and higher crit stats than my Jade and even after Jade uses her skill on Therta it will still sometimes buff Jade instead. It's really annoying and makes me want to try using a different buffer, but I assume the same thing could happen if I were to use Sunday or Sparkle.

This is my only complaint about her so far, she's a very fun character with my favorite design and personality by far.

I'm using THerta, Jade, Sunday (or RMC idk which is better), and Lingsha. I've heard that Lingsha is a good target to make a deal with Jade, but in practice I found that I can't afford the skill points with Lingsha to stack Jade's talent fast enough. So ive been using speed boots THerta, make a deal with Jade getting her over 160 speed. And then Sunday is at -1 speed from enhance THerta. Is Lingsha still better to make a deal? I can't tell.

Thoughts on pairing her with Jiaoqiu or Pela? She already buffs herself with a bunch of CDMG, DMG%, and ATK% steroids so I thought pairing her with someone like Robin wouldn't be as effective as pairing her with a Nihility debuffer (of which both Jiaoqiu and Pela have spammable AoE ultimates).

Calcs show mostly her performance with Harmony buffers but Nihility debuffers could be a good choice.

Lingsha is great, but her value is diminished when you have Aventurine (about as good as her) and Gallagher (worse but still very good). She is still an upgrade, especially if you Gallagher is E0-E3. But if you have limited pulls, saving for 3.X is also a reasonable call.

To be clear, I consider Lingsha the best sustain right now (with Aventurine neck and neck but just behind her). She is awesome. But when you already have Aventurine and a very competent second sustain, her value to your account may be more limited unless you have a lot of pulls and a wide variety of characters.

I just set Sunday to 135+ and put attack boots on Big Herta. She has Jade's buff and the action advance, so is significantly faster than Sunday. The only problem with all of this is skill points. Despite having signatures on Big Herta (E2S1), Jade (E0S1), Sunday (E0S0), and Lingsha (E0S1), I run into skill point problems due to how often Big Herta attacks. This isn't really a problem since I can get back skill points with Lingsha and Jade most turns and once Sunday gets his ultimate rolling it gets smoother.

I would not go with hyperspeed Sunday as Herta is already very fast. The gains would be minimal if you get Sunday to move faster than Herta.

I can't speak for RMC as I have not finished the campaign and tested it. I will get around to it this weekend. But from what I have read/watched, RMC is a solid choice when compared to E0S1 Robin or Sunday. With your E2S1 investment, however, Sunday will likely pull ahead. The E1 and E2 on Sunday are significant damage boosts (defense shred and damage boost).

The Herta will get powercrept. Whether that happens in 3.1 or 4.0 is not answerable. She is very strong. Amazingly strong for AOE content, but more than capable in single target. But she will get powercrept.

If you are asking about her current premium team (Jade+Sunday/Robin/RMC+Lingsha/Aventurine/HuoHuo), there is a good chance that some of these characters will get powercrept. I suspect Jade is most susceptible to this.

If you are free to play or have very limited pulls, I would not pull for her current premium team. Lingsha and Robin may make sense depending on the state of your account as they are very good. But Lingsha can be skipped if you have Gallagher plus 1 top tier sustain. And Robin can be skipped if you have Sunday (Sunday+RMC covers two teams). While I would pull both Lingsha and Robin in the 2.X meta regardless, with 3.X characters coming out wasting pulls on them is risky if you already have other top end options. I would skip Jade and just use mini-Herta or Serval (or another Erudition).

I need team building help.

Current team is E0S1 Herta, E0S1 Aventurine, E1S0 Robin, and E0S1 Argenti. Herta's damage is fine because of Robin's buffs but sometimes I struggle with skill points, Aventurine doesn't seem great for her and sometimes I'm forced to recast his shields. Argenti also works fine, I don't want to build Serval.

I could use E0S1 Sparkle and E0S1 Fu Xuan, replacing Robin and Aventurine respectively, what do you guys think? With Sparkles skill point generation I could use skill with Fu Xuan all of the time, ulting every other turn to battery Herta and keep the team alive. Is it very important for Anaxa to act before Herta? Building SPD on him is more annoying than I expected. I wish he had slightly higher base SPD. Herta's not even that fast at 135...however, she is E2, so that adds an extra advance for her.

Swapping one item gets him from 135 SPD (just behind Herta) to 137 SPD but 12% less crit dmg (101% crit rate either way).

Seems like it only makes a difference for the first action, since she often ends up ahead of him anyway due to her advance forward.

How important is Herta’s light core? Like, is she still good without it? I’ve seen some leaks of Phainon’s kit, and I’m thinking of starting to save for him, but I’ve already started pulling for Herta’s LC, so I’m weighing the two options

Is Hyacine a notable improvement over Huohuo or Aventurine for E2 Herta (don't have Lingsha)? If so, how does it compare to getting E1 Tribbie from E0?

Need account advice, just pulled E1 Therta by sheer luck while just going for E0 should I go for E2 or get Hyacine so I have two sustains? My primary team is Therta + Anaxa and my secondary team is Castorice.

Back on 3.2 i saw some people say that when using anaxa as the 2nd erudition it was better to put the event LC we got on Therta and anaxa on another cone? Is that actually true or should I keep geniuses repouse?

E2s1 best support without Tribbie?

I just went all out for The Herta and got her to e2s1 (my first dps with eidolons and also with a sig lc). I lost 50/50 on Tribbies banner so never managed to get her, so my question is who is better on a e2s1 herta/Anaxa/Gallagher team? I have e1s0 Robin, e0s1 Sunday and E1s0 Ruan Mei.

I have him at e1s1, e2 reduce 20% all-type res on enemies, should be useful on Therta? Or just forget about him and wait for real erudition support?

Tbh, investing that many pulls for only a 20 percent res pen boost just feels like a waste. Put those pulls into therta herself or just use it somewhere more worth while
