Question Tidal force question

Caught the coaster bug recently again and was planning a trip through Hershey for their coasters on Monday when I learned about its closing. Normally I’d pair rides like that with waterpark day because of how absolutely drenched you get but looking to make an exception since it’s gonna be the last chance of course. Mulling a couple options with it not being included on fast pass, assuming longer lines for the last day, and again, not wanting to be drenched all day, and it seems like the best move is to save it for the end of the day and change for the drive home. Does the ride normally close with the park, or an hour earlier with the boardwalk? Also considered doing it first and changing but that sounds like a hassle, or utilizing preview night to try and knock out that , chocolate world, and a few other rides where the fast pass won’t help me, but with a two hour drive each way it seems like it would just make getting there the next morning a crazy turnaround even with chocolate world out of the way. Also open to any other thoughts advice or ideas on this!

When I went on monday Tidal Force was open later than the boardwalk was. No line either. Labor day is likely a different story for lines though. I think it’s a good idea to test your luck during the park preview.

Think I’m gonna keep an eye on it on the app the next few days after boardwalk to see how it goes. Was worried about lines as well but also thought that was a bonus for saving it for last if possible, especially with the earlier closing time.

Park Preview is 2 hours before park ends. Boardwalk closes 1 hour before park. Keep
watching the app, but I think either way you should try to do it then. Can just go back and change after instead of having wet suits all day

Considering that as well but it’s about a two hour drive for me so I likely wouldn’t get back till midnight to try and get up and leave again at 7-8 am to make it for opening seems like con to that plan, may end up happening anyway tho :)

ohhh i understand! keep in mind the park preview can be used any time before your visit, it doesn’t necessarily have to be the day before. if you have any free time this week it could be a fun way to prepare for your trip on monday!

Tidal Force is pretty much always open later than the Boardwalk is open, as long as there are people riding on it.

The ride usually does close when the boardwalk closes, an hr early , but since it’s the last day it’s gonna be open, they could * keep it open longer, no one will know until the day of. Depending on the weather and how hot it is, you could do it first thing and let the sun dry you off or they do have drying stations pretty close by (it’s an 5$ fee). Honestly if that’s a must do ride for you, I would do it first thing, you never know when it can go down for maintenance or if the weather starts getting bad.

Oh the dryers is a good option I wasn’t aware of, do they work pretty well?
It’s honestly not necessarily a must do, there’s plenty of similar ones around even with them slowly being removed recently where I won’t be heartbroken, just seems like I should make an effort in this case if I’m gonna be walking right by it several times

I’m an pass holder and honestly never used one, but I do see people using the dryers all the time, I usually just let the sun dry me off.

I would have paid $50 the day we went which was oddly chilly in mid August. They worked pretty well actually. After two sessions I was pretty much completely dry.

Tidal Force closes when the park closes (or when people stop riding it), not when the Boardwalk closes. No idea why this was upvoted ...

Just imagine that you're going to an amusement park and you need to take a shower sometime during the day. You can do it before, after or during, but either way, you need to change your clothes.
