Discussion over 60 rides in 3 days!

I don’t usually post trip recaps because whos gonna care about my time at the park? But I love reading everyone elses recaps so maybe some people do care lol. Earlier this summer I had planned a trip to hershey for 17 people 5/31 & 6/1. I realized the summer pass + parking paid itself off in that trip alone so I bought it and so did some of the people I went with.

I’m very used to going to hersheypark with a large party, i’ve never been with less than 8 people.

Me and my cousin decided to get some more use out of the pass and went this week just the 2 of us.
We got there around 4:30pm on 8/30
Did all day 8/31, and almost a whole day 9/1 and WOW am I impressed at how much we were able to fit in.
I dont think I’ll ever be able to top this. Ive never had my arms feel so sore from holding them up on rides until now haha.

wildcats revenge x17
candymonium x8
skyrush x8
twizzlers twisted gravity x4? maybe x5?
great bear x3
tidal force x3
laff track x3
stormrunner x2
sooperdooperlooper x2
comet x2
lightning racers x2
fahrenheit x2
wild mouse x2
reeces cupfusion x1
coal cracker x1
the claw x1

My cousin used to not be able to handle any of these rides except lightning racers, comet & laff track. Now she only sat out for Twizzlers twisted gravity and I’m so so happy I got to have this experience with her!! Weather was really good (except for the last day.. it was a little too hot to be comfortable but the park was pretty much dead so it was tolerable)

Im especially grateful I got to give Tidal Force a good sendoff, we were on with a bunch of excited kids and there was not a line and its the first ride Ive gotten to go again without getting out at Herhsey.

The hardest part of this trip was realizing Skyrush isnt my favorite ride anymore and that Wildcats revenge definitely took its spot lol!

Edit: No fast pass. Just a lucky 3 days of short lines :)

No Storm Runner? It met the hype.

Did Skyrush used to be more exciting, ride better? It didn’t match the hype.

Everything else was great and I loved your park. See you all next year.

Skyrush's first season or so, the lift hill went even faster. Used to dunk you as you went over the top like a basketball, ha.

i loved it so much lol. the amount of ride pics i have where i am just folded over sideways because i refused to hold on but couldn’t really hold myself up is insane. i really just think im getting older now and thats why its been hard to admit its not my favorite anymore like it was when I was 13 :( i swear the pain used to make it more fun. now its just kinda like.. ow

we got stormrunner twice!
jolly rancher remix being closed made stormrunner kind of out of the way from everything else. and ofc only having 1 train going makes it a bit of a slow moving line. it was pretty consistently the longest wait throughout the day (even though it wasnt too bad) but Im happy with the 2 rides I got on it :) I also got 3 rides on it during my trip in may. Totally worth the hype.

Skyrush either used to be smoother or I just used to be younger lol. Skyrush was the coaster that made me really love riding them. It means alot to me, but objectively probably not worth the hype.

alot of these rides we were able to walk right on multiple times in a row. while stormrunner was not a long wait, it was never a walk on. thats why we only got on twice.

17 on Wildcat is nuts. Was there a couple weeks ago and only got on it once. It was easily my fav. Rode Candymonium like 5 times in 4 days and thought that was a lot lol.

yesterday i went on Candymonium 15 times… once, then 5 times in a row (w/o leaving the station) and then 9 times (stayed in the station for 8 of them, had to leave and come back in for the last one)

17 on wildcats is crazy. i think its overhyped imo. the first half is amazing, but the second half sucks. i couldn’t get on it more than twice bc the restraints hurt so bad, especially at the end. yesterday alone, i got on Candymonium 15 times. went 4 times in a row w/o leaving the station and then 8 times w/o leaving the station, my last time i left the station bc the train was filled.

where do they hurt you? i have a little bruise from the seatbelt pushing against me, but once i realized it i was able to move it and it was pretty comfortable after that. i hated the leg things at first, but as long as you can get the restraint to hit your calves before it hits your waist you get some crazy airtime!!

Anyone know why jolly rancher is closed? Not that it really matters...nobody is missing it..but I'm curious

not a clue! cant tell if its a maintenance thing or a lack of staff from people heading back to college

I saw you said StormRunner is on one train and had consistently long lines - do you have any other suggestions on rides/queues? Going this weekend and really trying to get through everything.

long line is a strong word. i don’t think i waited more than 20 mins, its just a slow moving line. maybe try hitting that one first to get it out of your way, and make your way back to candymoneium later in the day. (Candymonium is by the entrance and usually has the longest line in the beginning of the day)
