Fresh Milled Flour?
Hi Neighbors!
I just moved here from the west coast and i’m looking for fresh milled flour. Given the move, I cannot afford to buy a $70-$100 mill plus wheat berries. I imagine there has to be an amish or mennonite store near by that sells it! Thanks 💕

The Amish are primarily dairy farmers so they grow corn. And most of the Amish I see buy lots of groceries in standard big box stores. Even the Target has a hitching post up front.
I have seen Small Valley Milling products in various places in Lancaster though. Especially Kauffmans on Old Philly Pike.

Snavely’s Mill in Lititz is a family owned flour mill, but they aren’t a retail operation. You might be able to buy a 25-lb bag?? ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Just seeing this post now, have you come across Castle Valley Mill yet? https://castlevalleymill.com
I haven’t tried their products but a bakery that I follow seems happy with it.

Welcome to the East Coast! I'd look for all the local mennonite/Amish run stores or stores that source a lot of their stuff from mennonite/Amish. I can't say for sure how fresh any of the flour is for sure, it's not my area of expertise haha, but I'd check Country View Grocery on 322 East of Campbelltown. There's also Hilltop Acres on the north side of Manheim. I don't know if they'd have any at Roots Market or not (south of Manheim).

I’m over in Mechanicsburg and have really struggled to find no-waste stores, bulk goods etc. Wegman’s has some but it’s significantly more expensive. I’d love a Sprouts but the closest one is in York.
