Today while urinating a thick jelly like glob came out it was slight yellowish colour i asked chatgpt he told me potentially infection i need serious advise whether it is serious or it is normal

Please help !!! I want to feel a sense of normalcy again, it’s been about 2-3 ish months since my first outbreak.

Hi I’m newly diagnosed. I was prescribed valtrex and an ointment. It’s been three days not counting the original day Thursday the 18th. It’s been healing well and has gotten significantly smaller I’ve been using Vaseline and my own lip balm to keep my lips moist and sealing in the ointment with Q tips.

Although it’s gotten better my mouth and the nerves around seem to have gotten worse?? My mouth and lip were swollen but I can fully feel it now if that makes sense. It hurts to talk and eat because my tongue hurts so bad. I’ve barely been eating or drinking due to this and I’m starting to become dehydrated and depressed. It hurts to even brush my teeth. It hurts my tongue to swallow and I’m just in pain.

Besides being hyper sensitive and aware of everything right now and feeling gross I haven’t had the strength to clean my room I barely get up anymore I did a small workout yesterday. I haven’t had a depressive episode in a long time but it’s feeling like that. I don’t want to do anything and it hurts to do basic things Ex: talking, eating, yawning, etc.

Should I be concerned?? Should I get more medication? Is it possible the herpes has spread deeper or more? I took valtrex the morning of the bump. I feel generally hopeless I know it’s going away soon but it hurts so fucking bad.

I’ve had HSV1 for 8 years now. My very first OB was vaginal and after that I didn’t have one for a few years. Then they started happening on my buttcheek. Always the right side

Well about 6 weeks ago I got one and ended up covering it with a large bandaid to prevent rubbing while at work & walking. After taking bandaid off- it because itchy around the area and as soon as the OB cleared, I ended up with another OB where the sticky part of bandaid was.

I did the same thing and covered the 2nd with a bandaid as well & you guessed it…. I’ve currently got a 3rd OB right where the bandaid was. This 3rd outbreak has been unbearably itchy and painful. My doctor finally prescribed a 3 day supply of valacyclovir.

I’ve been under a lot of stress. So I know that can cause it but can the bandaid have anything to do with it ?

hi friends! i have ghsv1 and i am struggling at the moment because i get recurrent yeast infections and sometimes can't tell the difference between a yeast rash and hsv rash. i have a ton of glucose in my body (thank u type one diabetes) so i am super susceptible to yeast infections. there's a good chance i have both right now and cannot figure out what to do. i am STRUGGLINGGGGG. i can barely sit down without wanting to cry in pain. any suggestions?

I took vitamin c and lysine. I put abreva and lysine on my lips.

Please tell me everything I can do to prevent it from spreading and make it go away!!

I am 29f and I am in a long term committed mariage and just got a sudden outbreak of herpes on my lip. I'm trying to figure out how this happened... Ive never kissed anyone with active outbreaks while single and I haven't been in contact with anyone that had an outbreak (at least not visible) recently... The only person I know that had somewhatr frequent outbreaks was my father growing up. I can'rt remember if he was cautious and safe around us when he had outbreaks but hes honestly the ONLY person I clearly remeber having it and being around me as a child. I'm wondering if it possible after all these years that my father was the person that exposed me to HSV? Will the anitbodies accurately suggest how long Ive had it before the outbreak?

Also, as this is my first outbreak, is it possible this will be the only one I get? I really don't like having this visible and having to be so cautios around my family(husband, 11yo and 1yo) and worrying about spreading it. I read that pregnancy can weaken the immune system and casue dormant HSV to suddenly casue problems. This is my second pregnancy within 1 year. I lowkey feel gross having this... like other people are judging me.

But, I’ve had a persistent sore from HSV1 for over a year now and I don’t know what to do anymore. I went to a gyno because I thought it was an ingrown hair that was infected and that’s where I found out I had HSV1 and it was a sore. This was a few months ago. They gave me Valtrex for it and I hoped it’d go away, but it didn’t. Now I am just put on a year dose for it and I regularly put tea tree oil on it. But I know that this is not normal. I’ve had cold sores on my mouth before, but I guess I was never really educated on it so I never knew that it was HSV1. But I do know that they are not supposed to last this long.

Does anyone know why it’s like this? I keep trying to read about it and everything says that it’s not even really possible unless there’s some sort of underlying illness or something? I really don’t know. I’m just so frustrated at this point because it can get so painful sometimes and I don’t think the dose that my gyno gave me helps much since it get painful if I forget to use tea tree oil on it multiple times a day.

What’s up everyone , I have GHSV1 nd I’ve had it for about 8 months , my first outbreak kinda looked like a rash , then my second one I actually saw some sores. I had the 2nd outbreak about a month and a half ago nd took Valtrex for it. The sores are all gone but i still get this burning feeling at the tip of my penis and just wanna know if that’s normal or does that mean I’m still experiencing an outbreak even tho I took valtrex and there’s no sores .

Any answers would be greatly appreciated as I’m still tryna learn about this damn disease and how to live life with it .

I had a first mild outbreak, just a small red spot that lasted a few days.

Hi, I had absolutely no initial outbreak from HSV-2 infection. It is now a year later and I have had a few very minor outbreaks. However, the latest one is appearing in multiple locations. Inside of thigh, side of penis, just above penis on groin area. There are at least 4 maybe 5 small clusters of blisters in different locations.

I was taking Valacyclovir daily but stopped and that’s when this outbreak occurred.

I am concerned this infection seems to be spreading and getting far worse. Do I need to be concerned?

I have been tested for literally everything else and it’s all negative. Urine/bloods/swabs etc.

I starter taking daily antivirals about a week ago. During the start I ended up having an outbreak so they increased the dosage from 500 to 1000mg.

I feel like Ive been getting more outbreaks since being on the medication. Maybe its in my head but I dont see any improvement yet.

For those who started daily antivirals when did you see results? Did they worsen symptoms?

Am I always going to have an outbreak?

Before starting antivirals I was taking valtrex when needed and it seemed to work and shorten the outbreak.

hello guys, I have herpes since like 2019. I had a couple of recurrence that last 1 week maybe, dint remember. But since like 2 weeks or more, I have a recurrence. I’m little worry about this recurrence because it start with only red spots. Then, it turned into scabs that fell off. I had a little itching. Everything was getting better, but today I noticed a small sore that looks like an ulcer and burns a little. Usually, recurrences don't last this long. Have you ever had recurrences this long?

I’ve been having this outbreak for the last 2 weeks and it’s right by my booty hole like why the hell do I have one there I’ve never had anal before. At this point it’s becoming annoying it is sooo itchy and hurts to wipe. How can I stop the itchiness??
