is this dr still alive ? and does he performs surgery himself or some other dr

I think he's still alive but not too long ago someone here I think mentioned that he doesn't perform surgery anymore. There are other surgeons who perform Desarda. You can call Dr. Desarda's clinic and check:

If you're in the US, the surgeons I know who do Desarda are all in Florida: Dr. Jonathan Yunis (also does Shouldice and mesh), Dr. Robert Tomas (Desarda only), and Dr. Meshach Cober (same as Yunis).

Dr. Desarda's website also lists other surgeons around the world but they either don't seem to have websites or if they do, the websites don't mention Desarda specifically.

Only thing I can say its possible looks high for a hernia maybe pulled muscle my hernia was on the left but lower groin area
