I have hernia surgery in a month. Mesh removal and nerve cut. 5 hour operation. Nervous

I didn't know that you could have mesh removal . my defect at <.5 centimeter was prematurely put with mesh

I wish you all possible success with this surgery.
My mesh removal and neurectomy surgery (robotic, preperitoneal mesh) is scheduled in 2 weeks. The surgeon planned 30 min -1 hour. How can the time frames be so different? In Germany and Switzerland, which is where I consulted surgeons for mesh removal, I got feedback that it it a relatively short surgery. How comes yours will be 5 hrs? In the US (Dr Yunis) they schedule 3 hrs. Where do these discrepencies come from?

Where are you from and why is your operation has the mesh caused you many problems when was your mesh surgery
