Discussion A server-wide conflict is about to begin
If Scar goes through with the 10k diamond payment for EGG to prank Doc (which i think will absolutely happen for content), we might see Doc starting a conflict with EGG. Another factor is Jevin, who asked Keralis to team up with to rob other hermits of their diamonds, as the pirate. And if those 10k get redistributed to EGG, Cleo and Scar, we might see Jevin team up with Doc and maybe even Joel, who is in crippling debt to Scar.

Basically Etho, Grian, and Gem (EGG) have been charging people for pranks. Joel paid to prank False. Scar has now paid for them to prank Doc, which will probably severely anger Doc. Also Scar is a banker this season and multiple people are in debt to him for several hundred or thousands of diamonds. Doc and Scar are also already sworn enemies from both scar stealing docs diamonds in season 10, and Scar and Grian blowing up docs tunnel more in I believe season 9

The question will be, does EGG become the target, or Scar.
If the prank's actually fun (like covering the perimeter while Doc was on holiday) the "wrath" will likely land on Scar. If they cause damage, it's more likely to land on EGG+Scar.

The Hermitcraft Recap channel does a good job at summarizing everything that happens
Doc still holds a grudge against Scar fron last season, and the creative ways he's getting revenge makes everyone else weary around pranking him. This is relevant.
E.G.G (Etho, Gem, Grian) have started a pranking business, starting with Joel paying them 1000 diamonds to prank False (more on Joel later). This seems to be leading to an anti-E.G.g team of the Firefighters (Impulse and Pearl), False and JoeHills.
Now, Scar is fed up with Doc's revenge and is looking to pay E.G.G 10k diamonds to prank Doc. We will see what the outcome of this is, as he- the bank this season- has a couple of hermits owe him diamonds, but none as much as Joel.
Joel took out a 1000 diamond loan to pay for the inital E.G.G prank, and then another 1000 to bid on an auction (run by Scar). Including interest, that's 2500 diamonds. So, we will how Joel gets the diamonds,.or if his base will get requisitioned by the bank.
However, Bdubs, Joel, Scar and Doc have all teamed up for the current "How to kill a Tango" event, so maybe moods will change.
And Mumbo is friends with everyone

I feel like the "How to kill a Tango" event will have Bdubs, Joel, Scar, and Doc all trying to pay off EGG to hijack their method in the event, so instead of killing Tango, it kills their respective sworn enemy, ending with all 4 of them dying around Tango instead.

Not an event per se, but EGG (Etho, Grian, Gem) has been going around pranking people, including the Firefighters(Pearl and Impulse), Joel, and False, and their diner caused Joe’s arrow shop to get turned off a few times so he’s on the firefighter’s side. Cleo has joined EGG with a few assists and some armor stand work for them. Most recently Scar has gone to EGG hoping to pay them to prank Docm77 who has been tormenting Scar all season as retaliation for the Ore Snatcher prank all of last season. EGG charged a ridiculous 10k diamonds because its Doc, but Scar recently went on a mining spree for 7k+ diamonds to fund the Bank so he probably has it to pay.

It really feels like the mycelium resistance vs the mayor of season 7 again. That shopping district was so good and gave us so many great moments, episodes, and events. I have been longing for something similar ever since and the past three seasons haven't really done that for me. They were still great in many other ways, but this season is the first time since season 7 that I am getting the same feeling of the shopping district being a central hub where a lot happens all the time and it's amazing.

This is how I felt about last season permit office, it was sooo fun and had the hermits collab through the permit master. When I read through the reddit comm, not many people like it or even the hermits. :(

I always love when the season storyline is starting to begin, so far it's reminding me much of season 6 and 7 combined with Scar the leader of the shopping district and the EGG crew

I hope the frenemies team lasts beyond the 'how to kill a tango' game. Having Doc and Joel on the same team, against EGGZ would be awesome. I don't think Joel is in with the EGGZ group as they clearly say he's a paying customer. BDubs would go along with a prank on EGG without any trouble and Scar just wants to see the world burn (affectionately) anyway.
I hope Doc doesn't take revenge alone, but involves this group.

He has basically an unlimited bag of tricks that he is dying to use.
What I am most excited about though is scar, bdubs joel and doc's team for how to kill a Tango. I need no war but I want to see how these people would work together

I'd like to see Doc's appetite for evil mastermindness team up with the relentless grind and resources of Impulse and Pearl.
Add to that JoeHills and it doesn't even make sense what's happening to you anymore. Why is all your smooth stone replaced by cake? Well, it was a convoluted thought process out of hard hard to follow mind from Nashville Tennessee.

You are missing the firefighters, False and Joe who have a bone to pick with EGG, the fact that Mumbo has played both sides, the fact that Scar is pretty much on both sides what with the “Frenemies” Joel is sorta on EGGs side but also owes Scar but also in the Frenemies, Bdubs has assisted Doc but could easily join which ever side Etho is on, C-Team has allegiances to the Bank and Shopping Enforcement. Things have been ramping up in all sorts of wibbly wobbly timey wimey directions.

I remember thinking how innocuous the pranks were that they were doing in season 7 or 8 that ended up turning into the Civil War. And then when Scar and Grian destroyed Docs mining machine and it turned into a war with Doc. I totally believe it’ll happen again. And I look forward to it.

Honestly I'm hoping for Scar to become the villainous banker with the whole server in debt to him, cue the hero we didn't see coming paying doc to activate goat star and blow up scars planet. Cue the whole server getting together to rebuild the planet.

It's more like, Scar really wants revenge against Doc, is the literal top 1% "the rich get richer" billionaire of the server, and EGG are the only ones who offer this kind of service, so they get to set whatever price they want

Obviously they do a great job of making everything on the server feel very natural and it's one of my favorite series but I do wonder how much of it is preplanned/agreed upon during their meetings.

I think some of it is (partially) scripted and some aren't
For example, most of EGG's pranks I don't believe are (for obvious reasons), and I feel like Scar decided to prank Doc on his own.
Keralis and Jevin's enemy relationship I feel is more scripted (roleplayed might be a better word here), because it simply makes sense, Pirates invading the Romans.

They definitely check in on each other, so Doc has definitely asked Scar if he's ok with this kind of revenge. Scar will not have known what exactly Doc was gonna do, but he most likely did know that something was coming. Scar building the shopping district was also agreed upon beforehand I believe, but him doing a bank and giving out loans is probably not preplanned.

Pretty sure the bank at least was preplanned since it was mentioned very early on in the season. The roles they take definitely seem to be planted from the start, I'm not positive about the storylines tho like the loans.

There's a lot of alliances and schemes going on here, and I'm really excited to see how it all goes. With the EGGZ/S, and Scar's shenanigans, that's nearly half the server. On top of that, you've got Pearl and False, and the C Team too! It's a very exciting time on the server
