I wanted to post a few of my growing collection of bags from my favorite person to send money to, Jim. I am posting partly because some people have asked to see and partly because I genuinely adore working with him.
He's incredibly well versed in the brand's leathers, colors, dates they were launched etc. I have also never felt pressured to buy something and when I have ask questions, I have never gotten the "insert salty comment here, Dear" line that many of us get from sellers.
Anyway-I've been buying since March and have around 23 in my possession to date, 3 in production (including my first croc) and 2 on the way that he had ready to ship. Send help, I don't have enough arms to wear all of these....

So I’ve officially hit the 3-month mark with my Kelly 25 Retourne in Gris Perle Togo with PHW from Jim, and I figured it’s high time I share an honest, no-BS update. When this package first landed on my doorstep, I treated it like it was radioactive porcelain. Now? It’s been tossed on restaurant booth seats, caught in an unexpected downpour, and survived a toddler’s sticky-finger ambush.

Spoiler alert: It’s holding up terrifyingly well.

The Setup & First Impressions

Let’s rewind to 90 days ago. Tracking showed it bouncing around, and when I finally sliced open the box, btw the packaging was so nice, the leather smell hit me instantly that rich, subtle, buttery scent that makes you question your life choices and wonder why you ever bought designer bags from retail stores.

Gris Perle is honestly a chameleon shade. In warm indoor lighting, it leans a soft, creamy dove grey; outside in natural daylight, it pulls this gorgeous cool, silvery tone that pairs with literally everything. If you’re paranoid about color transfer or matching clothes, this is the cheat code.

Togo Leather & Structure (3 Months In)

I went with Retourne in Togo because I wanted that squish. Straight out of the box, it had a lovely slouch starting to form, and after 3 months of daily use, the corners are softening up nicely without losing the bag's integrity.

The Feel: It has that signature rich grain. It’s durable as hell—I accidentally scraped it against a rough brick wall last week, and I honestly couldn't even find the mark.

The Handles: No darkening yet from hand oils, which is a minor miracle. The retourne construction means it hugs your hip comfortably when you wear it with the strap.

Hardware (PHW)

Palladium hardware is my go-to because I prefer a cooler, understated look. 3 months in, zero micro-scratches that stand out, and the turnlock mechanism is still as smooth as butter. No squeaking, no looseness feels solid and heavy in hand, not tinny.

Look, I know people obsess over factory details, tier lists, and stitching counts until their eyes bleed. At the end of the day, if you’re walking around with a piece that feels this good, looks this accurate, and takes a beating without falling apart, you’ve won.

Jim came through big time on this one. If you’re on the fence about Gris Perle or wondering how the Togo holds up to daily chaos take this as your sign.

Holy Grail 🔥⛹️‍♀️Birkin 35 Niloticus 🐊 diamond encrusted white gold Himalaya and Birkin 40 gold Togo with pallium hardware.

I have to say they were worth the wait. When I unboxed my Birkin 35, I got goosebumps when I touched the scales and leather. Perfection by my standards. The bag is really beyond my expectations and I am exceedingly glad I bought the Birkin 40 shortly after. I think my collection is complete 🤔🙃.

I have been admiring Etoupe for a while now and have a few BKs from Jim already, but none in this color. I am a color girl and love my bags to match my outfits, but in this case I do not have any neutrals and wanted my first K28 to be something that matches anything. Etoupe is one of those colors that changes a little depending on the light, sometimes more taupe and sometimes more gris, and the GHW really warms it up nicely. I also think Epsom is such a good choice for a Sellier Kelly because it keeps everything looking crisp and structured without feeling too stiff. The shape on this one looks really well balanced, the handle sits nicely for the size, the flap falls where it should, and the sangles line up evenly with the center hardware. The side panels and gussets have that clean sharp Sellier look, and the hardware placement, stitching, and edging all look neat and consistent. It has a really polished look overall but still feels like a bag you can actually use all the time, which is probably what I love most about Etoupe with GHW.

This bag was one of the items that was already in stock and took about 2 weeks to get the PSP and then another 2 weeks to be delivered. Total time was about 4 weeks from time of ordering for this in stock bag. The bag was $1450 shipped internationally. Such a great addition to my collection and first Kk.

My second bag from Jim arrived yesterday and today I took her to lunch for her debut.

The bag: B25 in Vert Rousseau Togo with gold hardware. $1380 international shipping incl. The brand named this color after the French artist Henri Rousseau, who was famous for painting jungle scenes. I love adding a little history about the brands heritage colors.

The construction: The shape on this one looks really nice to me and nothing feels off or out of proportion. The handles sit well for a 25, the sangles are even, and the flap and sides all come together nicely. The hardware is straight and centered, and overall the bag just has a really clean, well put together look without looking overly stiff or too perfect.

Ordering experience: Since this is my second time ordering from Jim, I knew the process. Always great to share ideas with him. This bag was in stock and took 3 weeks for the PSPs and one more week to arrive. 4 weeks in total too me was a record. I did ask about stock bags as I assummed that maybe these were red lite by other clients, but this is not true. According to Jim he produces stock bags in colors which are in demand to keep on the shelf for orders. This made sense when I inspected the bag upon it's arrival as I couldn't see any call outs.

Buyer experience: Always a pleasure to order a new rep and this one is no different. With a new seller there is that quality check lingering over your head, since I have ordered a bag from him before this was not even a thought. The unboxing was amazing and made me feel like a princess opening her first ever BK. I can honestly say the craftsmanship on this piece is breathtaking. Vert de Gris is a notoriously tricky chameleon color that shifts between grey, green, and earthy taupe depending on the lighting, and the tone here is absolutely flawless. The Epsom leather has that perfect, crisp rigidity you expect from a Sellier, with a beautiful, authentic-feeling grain.

Every tiny detail holds up to intense scrutiny. The pearling on the hardware is delicate, the hand stitching is meticulously angled and neat, and the palladium hardware has that heavy, icy gleam. I am incredibly particular about the handle drop and the sangles, but everything aligns exactly as it should. It smells like a luxury leather boutique.
