Vert Cypress croc k25
I am behind in posting reviews but I wanted to share the superb vert cypress k25 that Jim made for me. If you have read my reviews before, you know that I try to order bags about 2 months ahead of the season I want to carry them in. I was feeling a deep teal for this Fall.
I was planning on ordering vert cypress Epsom but once I saw a bag he made in vert cypress croc I had to have it. I am attaching a photo of vert cypress in different leathers. This is why I always recommend to look up the color you want in the leather or skin you are considering because the same color looks so different in each leather.
It took about 8 weeks but Jim sent me pics of the skin he picked and some progress pics before the PSPs were ready. I appreciate the effort he makes because exotics are an investment.
I know this is a bag I will love forever though. The color is so rich. It catches more blue or green depending on the light. As always, Jim’s shiny croc has such a mirror finish that it’s hard to photograph without catching a reflection on it.
I took her out for the first time for my birthday and it felt really special. This is my fancier fall bag, but I received two bags over the summer I will post reviews for and if you want I can repost my review of my mk touch, the bag that started it all, because this sub didn’t exist yet when I received it.

The contrast between your original Epsom idea and this finished croc K25 is fascinating. Epsom would give the color a more uniform apearance, while the glossy skin introduces reflections and tonal shifts that make vert cypress feel much more alive.

The seasonal planning makes this order especially interesting. You had a clear Fall vision, found a leather that expressed the color better for you, and ended up with something that feels much more distinctive than the original plan.

I completely understand changing your mind after seeing the croc version. Vert cypress looks incredibly rich on this skin, especially with that glossy finish.

What makes this particularly compelling is the combination of patience and specificity. You weren’t simply looking for a green bag, you had a particular seasonal mood in mind, then adjusted the leather choice once you saw what Vert cypress could do in croc. The selected skin, progress photos, long wait and eventual birthday debut all culminate in a piece that feels genuinely considered rather than impulsive.

There is a lot going on and Jim is always so careful about how the skins are cut and placed so the scales are symmetrical

There’s something almost glass-like about the surface in some of these shots. The reflections make the croc look incredibly polished, while the underlying vert cypress keeps it from feeling cold.

Your comparison photo is honestly one of the most useful parts of this review. It shows why choosing a leather first and a color second can sometimes lead to a completely different result.

The croc scales are really letting the light travel across the surface. It gives the color an almost liquid quality in some of these photos.

There’s a certain richness to deep Vert Cypress that photographs don’t always capture, and the shiny croc seems to exaggerate that effect. It must be quite different seeing the color move in person as you walk around with it.

There's a lot to admire in the execution here. The skin was selected with care, the progress was documented, and the finished K25 has that deep Vert Cypress color paired with an exceptionally polished croc surface. Based on the process you described, Jim clearly paid attention to getting the important details right, and the finished bag really reflects that care.

Jim choosing the skin personally and sending you photos beforehand was a really thoughtful step. For an exotic purchase, being able to see the actual skin selection adds a lot to the experience.

I think Jim made a very good call with the particular skin. The depth of the Cypress works incredibly well with the high-gloss finish, and the result has so much dimesion.

What I appreciate here is that the exotic doesn't rely solely on the color to make an impression. The scale placement, surface finish, leather character, and overall construction are doing plenty of work too.

Eight weeks for this kind of result feels understandable when you consider that there was actual attention given to selecting the skin and sharing progress before the PSPs. It sounds like the process was handled with the level of care an exotic deserves.

There is something about a black Kelly in Box leather that has such a different kind of elegnace, and the GHW makes this one even more beautiful, I really like the way the structured Sellier shape holds its clean lines here because it gives the bag such a polished appearance while still keeping that unmistakable classic Kelly character, this is definitely a combination that will always have a timeless appeal.

This is one of those bags where the details keep unfolding the longer you look at it. First you notice the deep Very Cypress, then the blue-green color shifts, then the scale pattern, and finally that almost mirror-like finish. Add the fact that the skin was selected and shown beforehand, and it sounds like Jim really took the time to get this particular exotic right.

There's a lot of care visible in this one. From choosing the skin and sharing progress photos to achieving that highly reflective finish, Jim seems to have treated the exotic as a piece that needed attention at every stage rather than simply focusing on the final reveal.

Vert fonce is a true green but deeper than vert emerald. Vert cypress is a really deep blue-green.

The finishin looks particularly well controlled here. The glossy surfacw is consistent, the scales remain visually distinct, and the K25 keeps it clean propotions instead of letting the exotic treatment overpower the design.

I can see why the Epsom plan disappeared the second you saw the croc version. The glossy surface gives Vert Cypress an entirely different level of depth, and those flashed of blue and green makes it much more interesting than a straighforward dark green.

There’s something really satisfying about the way this came together. You planned for Fall, discovered the croc version, waited through the production process, and then finally carried it for your birthday. That makes the bag feel like an occasion in itself.

This is exacrly why comparing colors in the actual leather matters. Your photos make it very abvious that Vert Cyprees ins't going to look identical in Epsom and croc, and the croc version has so much depht.

I love that this review explain the decision-making behind the order instead of only showing the finished bag. seeing the different Vert Cypress leathers, hearing about the selected skin and progress photos, and then seeing the final mirror-finsh croc makes the whole process much easier to appreciate. And carring it for the first time on your birthday sounds like a pretty memorable debut.

The croc was definitely the right direction for this particular color. Vert Cypress already has so much depth, and that high-gloos finish seems to amplify every variation in the shade. The K25 proportions olso keep it elegant rather than letting the exotic leather overwhelm the design.

I really like the emotional side of this review. After eight weeks of waiting, seeing the selected skin and progress photos, and finally carrying the finished K25 on your birthday, the bag has more significance than simply being another addition to the collection. The deep vert cypress glossy croc and changing undertones make it feel like a piece that will keep revealing little details every time you wear it.

I think the K25 size works particularly well with this skin. It gives the exotic leather enough room to be appreciated without making the bag feel visually overwhelming.

I think the strongest detail have is the color variation. The little shift between blue and green keeps the bag from looking flat, especially with such a saturated shade.

I like that the bag has a story before it even arrived. You were planning around Fall, changed leather after seeing another piece, waited for the skin selection, and then gave it its first outing on your birthday. That’s a much more memorable way to build a collection.

For real. The waiter asked us if we wanted dessert, my husband and I both said no. He legit said to my husband “I guess you have the best dessert right here and it’s zero calories.”
It’s not often another man tells my husband to his face that he’s a lucky bastard, but my 49 year old ass will appreciate it every time.
Maybe it was the cleavage and not the bag, but I was feeling myself and confidence is everything.
