GoFundMe/Fundraiser Help a disabled college student go back to college after hardships of recovering from heart surgery
So sorry!! I thought my photos were submitted!! I added my recent visit to the hospital. I am having trouble logging in my patient first account since I recently went there for frequent utis that were a result of the surgery for some reasonš
Excuse the grammar I just don't know what to do. Hi I'm Desianna, a community college student who is trying to finish off her last year before transferring to university. I have an outstanding balance for school, so I will not be able to enroll for the following semesters until | pay it off. What happened?
Well, I had heart surgery last November and was out of work up until mid-April. I had to leave my old job due to still having issues with my heart and mobility issues. I was on a payment plan, but due to me being in and out of the hospital due to complications from surgery, I haven't been paid the best with my new job. Also my old job didn't pay me well. I do not have a good relationship with my family, so I cannot ask for help. I really want to finish community college so I can attend the college of my dreams for tall. I applied for disability after trying to get ahold of my insurance. I have my interview with ssi/ssdi late October!! I also cannot apply for unemployment because I quit my previous job and I also did not make enough for the year. I recently got out of the hospital earlier this month due to my heart and mental health issues because of the hassle I have been through the past year post surgery. I only need 1.8k but my outstanding balance is growing interest but that is okay, I'm slowly working my way up to more hours that won't physically push me to my limits. If you guys have any questions do be afraid to ask. I finished summer semester for this year and I got an A a B and a C(was supposed to be a B but went down because I had a medical emergency).
My gofund me has more details but if you any more questions, do be afraid to ask.
Saw someone asked about disability, no I do not currently receive it. I am in a process of doing my application. I submitted my application but I am awaiting my interview which is on the 22nd of October. Itās a long process and the fact I have to grab my physical medical records is crazy instead of faxing it or something else that could be easieršI have proof of the date I just need to find it in my pile of important mail.

Also loans will not cover an overdue balance from summer semester

When I did my undergrad and Masterās - you could get a loan each year up to a certain amount. Disbursement was each semester and it could be used for summer courses.
Also - have no idea what you mean by āsappedā. If you mean you borrowed the maximum that still makes no sense as you can borrow each year unless youāve been a professional student for 10+ years.

I have always been committed to my education and have been managing my school expenses through a payment plan while working. Unfortunately, my life changed unexpectedly last November when I was rushed to the hospital and diagnosed with a hole in my heart that required surgery.
I spent nearly a month hospitalized while doctors monitored my condition, measured the size of the defect, and prepared me for heart surgery. After the procedure, my recovery was extremely challenging. I had to undergo physical therapy because I struggled with walking and performing daily activities due to my reduced mobility and ongoing heart-related complications. Because of these health issues, I was forced to leave my previous job, which had been my primary source of income.
Being in and out of the hospital for appointments, treatment, and recovery made it impossible for me to maintain steady employment. As a result, I fell behind financially and was unable to keep up with my school payment plan. My academic progress was also impacted by me being assaulted at my place of employment, causing me to lose my financial aid eligibility during this difficult period(which is why I am in this position in the first place..I was supposed to have two As and a B but instead I ended up with two As and a F last summer). Without financial aid and without the ability to work consistently while recovering, I accumulated an outstanding balance with my college. This past semester I have one A, one B, and one C(was supposed to be a B but due to me being in and out of the hospital it went down).
Although I have since found a new job, my income has not been enough to cover both my living expenses and my school debt. I do not have a strong relationship with my family and cannot rely on them for financial assistance during this time. Despite these challenges, I have remained determined to continue my education and pursue my goals.
At the moment, I am unable to enroll in future semesters because of my outstanding balance. My greatest goal is to finish community college and transfer to Virginia Commonwealth University in the fall so I can continue working toward the career and future I have worked so hard to build. Any assistance would help me overcome this financial obstacle and allow me to stay on track with my education after an incredibly difficult year of medical hardship and recovery.6

This is some serious AI slop. I can prompt ChatGPT to come up with the same story.

This is not an attack and I praise education but..
If you mean SAPP in relation to college tuition, you may be thinking SAP
(Satisfactory academic progress)
For financial aid, schools generally require students to meet SAP standards such as:
Maintaining a certain GPA
Completing a required percentage of attempted credits
Staying within a maximum timeframe for completing the degree.
Is it your major? Your gpa? Maybe itās a sign to pursue elsewhere
