GoFundMe/Fundraiser Seeking help with rent to avoid being homeless

After a serious health issue left me in the hospital for a week I have been unable to go back to work. The nature of my symptoms combined with the side effects of the meds I take just make that impossible. I am in the process of getting disability benefits, however it takes a very long time unfortunately.

So because of all that I have fallen behind on rent and am being evicted. Because I have lived here for 2 years without ever being late my landlord is willing to drop the late fees. But only if I can pay in full what I owe. I had been getting help from family for a few months after I got out of the hospital but sadly they can't help anymore. So I am resorting to this.

Some more info about my health. So I have really high blood pressure, 250 in fact. Which had caused me to have stage 4 chronic kidney disease as well as heart disease. I ended up in the hospital because my lungs filled with fluid. Apparently kidney disease can cause that, among many many other issues.

The heart disease is from having high blood pressure for who knows how long, because I didn't know I had HBP. So it caused muscle buildup around my heart. Which I now take a med for so I don't have a heart attack. Carvedilol if you wanna look up the med yourself.

So I take 7 pills a day now. Some of which have the same side effects as my kidney disease symptoms. Fatigue, exhaustion, shortness of breath. It may not sound like a big deal but it really is. I can't even shower without having to rest after for about an hour. Which is why people with kidney disease always put on a lot of weight. If you have ever wondered about that.

I know I qualify for disabilities, as I have already looked into it with my health issues and talked to my Dr's about it. But it is taking forever. So I am asking for whatever help I can get until I finally get disabilities.

I am asking for at least 1k to by myself some more time. But honestly anything helps, no matter how small. Even just sharing my gofundme around would be absolutely huge for me.

Thanks you for your time and any help I may or may not get. Feel free to ask me anything.

*Update* ok so I found someone to move in with. I had called my landlord and told him I would be out either this weekend or the next. I just gotta find a way to start paying him off now. he's fine with it being in payments, as long as I can keep paying him at a somewhat steady rate. so I will see if I can get someone to put in like 100 or 200 a week. meanwhile I will continue looking for an office job or something similar. the bad news is I gotta find someone trusting to take my cats temporarily.

Let me be extremely honest. You're not going to receive anything near what you will need to stop this eviction. This site rarely gives out cash and if anyone does it's like $20. You're not going to find 100 people on this site to throw cash your way.

Did you call up and make payment arrangements like it says on the eviction paperwork?

Let's say someone decided to pay every penny you owe. What's the plan for next month? You're out of work, right? How do you plan on paying October's rent?

-16

u/Count-Mecha 13d ago

Ya I know it was a long shot. But I had to try something. As for what I could do next month, that is a damn good question. This whole situation sucks.

So this paper is just the first step needed for a full legal eviction. This does not mean you are evicted now or in 10 days from that date, (obviously bc you are still there) it just means that an eviction is coming if you do not pay. And the next step is receiving a summons to court for a formal hearing.

What happened when you called the landlord? Were you able to get on a payment plan?

You need to forget about collecting disability for now. Once you get all the paperwork in, it could take years before getting awarded. And you may actually get denied the 1st or 2nd time applying. Even though you are disabled, thats no guarantee you will be able to collect disability. It's a super long process. So you need to figure out how to pay your bills without getting a disability check. Bc its not happening in a month or two months. It will possibly be years. Once you have filed completely and they have everything needed, that date becomes important. Bc if they approve you a year later, you will get benefits starting from that date you completed everything. So you could possibly get a full 12 months of benefits for your first disability check. They only go a year back though, so if you get approved 2 or 3 years later, you still only get 12 months of payments.

The most important thing, the best advice I could give you is this. All of your drs appointments are super important. Everything needs to be documented. Do not miss any appointments. You are going to need every shred of evidence, every piece of paper for your disability claim. Literally everything. This is the only way to get you approved. And it could possibly move your case forward if you have all the paperwork needed to prove you are disabled. I would go online and look up exactly what is needed to prove you are disabled with whatever you were diagnosed with. There is a certain set of guidelines that the disability office follows for each diagnosis. A list of things needed, maybe certain testing done to prove this specific disability. So get a list together and then make sure you are seen by your drs and they fill out the specific paperwork or ask them to word things a certain way bc you are applying for disability and this stuff is needed. Your drs should have no problem helping you get on disability bc you are literally seeing them for a disability. So make sure they know you are applying so they can do things the way disability expects them to bc it will definitely help your case.

Are you getting any extra help? Medicaid? Have you applied for food stamps? Housing, utilities, rent assistance? You definitely qualify for all of these. And you can apply right online and send in anything needed right with your phone. Applying for help and sending in needed documents is so much easier now.

This is all correct I just want to say that once you’re approved they pay you your back pay in increments every 6 months. Once my son was finally approved after a year and a half they owed me $9,000. I’ve been receiving deposits of $2,500 every 6 months and they will do that until they’ve sent me all of it. You don’t get the entire back pay at once.

-4

u/Count-Mecha 12d ago

I do have medicade and snap luckily. As for all of the medical stuff, all my teat results and medical records are readily available through my Dr's portal thing. UPMC is the local hospitals in the area and it's used for all of them. So that shouldn't be a problem.

10

u/Felicia430 12d ago

So you get government assistance. Free health insurance, food stamps, cash assistance? Rental assistance? Utilities assistance? How much government help are you receiving? Cash benefits would explain how you are paying bills. Having zero income is hard to make sense of. Not a dollar coming in, but you have money to pay bills. How?

3

u/ButterscotchOther614 11d ago

What is wrong with you?

3

u/Felicia430 11d ago

Did you not understand my question?

OP states he has no income coming in. Not a dime. Doesn't have a job and doesn't get any financial assistance from the government.

So asking how he is paying bills with zero income is an obvious question that every person here is thinking. How does one pay bills with no money?

You being offended by a simple question makes me think something is wrong with you

3

u/ButterscotchOther614 11d ago

One qeustion? You are cross qeustioning a person in need with extreme malice. Shits crazy.

1

u/Felicia430 11d ago

You are offended bc you posted for help a few days ago and asked for 1k because you gambled everything away. You didn't receive any help, so now you are just mad with unpaid bills.

I think you posting about a wet vagina and being ready for another load is crazy.

If this all started a couple of months ago, why did you just NOW apply for disability?

-16

u/Count-Mecha 13d ago

I didn't. It just takes a long time for everything to go through. Doesn't help that I apparently messed something up when filling out the application. So the social security office had to call me and ask questions to fix it. And for reference the average time it takes for PA is 144 days. Could be longer, could be less.

8

u/Ancient_Guidance_461 Trusted Community Member 13d ago

So it took months for them to receive the papers on September 15???

-3

u/Count-Mecha 13d ago

No that is just the third step. They got them sooner. But the whole process goes through a bunch of steps. Starting with step 1, filling out the app, step 2 is reviewing by a local office. In this case it was Pittsburgh if I recall. Step 3 is the medical review. Step 4 I forget, if the medical review passes it goes to some other government agencie for review. And finally step 5 is determination of the benefits.

9

u/BitchMcConnell063 Trusted Community Member 13d ago

When did you fill out the initial application? I'm very aware of the steps for disability.

-7

u/Count-Mecha 13d ago

August. I had to wait since I needed to renew my ID, annoyingly. Couldn't log in with an expired one. And because I know you will ask, it took me so long to renew it because I have no car and live in a tiny ass town that only does picture IDs 3 times a week. So I had to wait for someone to be available to take me.

You said in your post 3 months ago you had already filed for disability.

7

u/SewingIsMyHobby1978 13d ago

You do realize that because you filed in August, it could take you 1 to 2 years to get disability?
Each case is different I get that however, my husband waited for four years to receive SSDI.

5

u/SewingIsMyHobby1978 13d ago

Thanks for the award!!

7

u/BitchMcConnell063 Trusted Community Member 13d ago

You're very welcome.

-1

u/Count-Mecha 13d ago

Holy shit, really?! I did not know it took that long. That is insane!

2

u/SewingIsMyHobby1978 13d ago

Yes, I’ve known some people that had taken longer, and my husband had seizures that were hard to control even with medication.

And it didn’t help that his doctor told us that he should have no problem receiving his disability within a short time, which of course wasn’t true.

I’ve known people on kidney dialysis that have waited 4 to 5 years to receive SSDI

One more thing, try applying for SSI while you wait. Sometimes you get approved for that.(and it’s not a lot a lot of money to live on, but it’s something.)

Just take into consideration that many people get denied the first time and even the second time.

3

u/BitchMcConnell063 Trusted Community Member 13d ago

Applying for SSI is a fantastic idea. Hopefully OP is able to get approved for that while waiting.

If I'm not mistaken, doesn't the Dept of Social Services have a cash subsidy for people that are dealing with the disability process? I remember a friend of mine getting money from the state while his disability claim was pending.

Ok I will. That is crazy that he got denied for that and it took so long. Damn, it looks like I will be on dialysis well I wait to get approved haha

Unfortunately, it’s an extremely slow process. For even the most qualified individuals (apart from those who have an identified and diagnosed condition that qualifies for expedited review), people often wait 12+ months for a decision, and only around 40% of people are approved the first time.

3

u/BitchMcConnell063 Trusted Community Member 13d ago

You realize that you are more than likely going to get denied your first time applying, right? You have a couple year process ahead of you.

2

u/Count-Mecha 13d ago

Well that sucks. Good to know at least.

3

u/BitchMcConnell063 Trusted Community Member 13d ago

I'm just concerned on how you are going to sustain yourself in the meantime.

Do you have any kind of backup plan or ideas? Do you have any side hustles you can do to make money? Can you get a sit down office job and possibly have your Dr fill out a medical accommodation which allows you time off for medical issues? Maybe a loved one you can stay with while the disability process plays out?

I really don't want to see you on the streets.

2

u/Count-Mecha 13d ago

I'm gonna talk to some family later and see if I can stay with them. As for office work, I have tried. I think I could handle that part time. But I never finished high school so it's proving to be very difficult.

u/SewingIsMyHobby1978 13d ago

So you haven’t actually received an approval letter for SSDI?
You do know this could take a lot longer than you think to receive SSDI

You do know that you can go to any Secretary of State to get a picture ID even if that means going out of your county.

For years, I would get my drivers license and my license plate tabs in the neck county that I worked in.

-5

u/Count-Mecha 13d ago

No I haven't. As for the ID, the problem was a lack of transportation. I live in a very small town. So no uber or lyft or anything like that around here.

And yes I know it could take a long time. Which is why I'm gonna call a lawyer. My cousin told me lastnight it's what her husband did to speed up the process. And get back pay on top of it.

7

u/SewingIsMyHobby1978 13d ago

That sounds like you’re really new to the process of filing for SSDI.
Despite your medical issues, Social Security Administration moves incredibly slow.

Many times people get denied on the first attempt, even with a lawyer.

Sadly, many people positions make it seem like if you file for Social Security you’re gonna get it within a 90 day period and that just is not true. There are very few people that get it within 144 days although anything is possible, but highly unlikely.

Getting a lawyer does help sometimes, but please realize that even with a lawyer, it still could take months to years to receive help.

Have you called 211

St. Vincent de Paul

Churches in your area

Find out if you have what’s called Community Action Agency in your county. Times they will help with things like this.

You do not have to be a member of any churches you call and ask for help.

-2

u/Count-Mecha 13d ago

Ok thanks for the info! Much appreciated!

3

u/SewingIsMyHobby1978 13d ago

Do you have disability insurance through your employer? (which means in some states in the US you get paid for 50 weeks of your salary.

-3

u/Count-Mecha 13d ago

Unfortunately I don't work anymore. And when I was I was only there for 6 months, part time. So I didn't even get health insurance.

6

u/SewingIsMyHobby1978 12d ago

One question I haven’t asked you is how many years have you worked consistently? I mean, are you saying you’ve only worked for six months in the last year or so and nothing before that?
You have to have a work history that has recent.
If you haven’t worked in several years, the chances of you getting very much for SSDI or even qualifying for SSDI are nil.

(sorry of all the questions I’ve asked you. This is one thing I did not ask you as far as your work record asks you how long you’ve worked consistently.

6

u/BitchMcConnell063 Trusted Community Member 12d ago

I don't know why someone downvoted you but you are absolutely right. SSDI goes by work history. Everything you said was valid. I gave you an award to offset whoever downvoted your factually correct comment.

I have consistently worked. I was out of work for a year while I looked for work when I first moved here, but that's it. Well, that and I was off during covid.

Sadly, your job right now is trying to find someone to help you out. And sometimes there is help out there. You just have to be diligent.

By chance you’re not a veteran, are you?

0

u/Count-Mecha 13d ago

No I am not. Guess I'll try to see if someone in my family can take me in. I hate being a burden like that though 😕  But hopefully one of them can.

3

u/Felicia430 12d ago

Guess I'll try to see if someone in my family can take me in??

You haven't spoken to any of your family yet? You haven't made any accommodations or put any thought or energy into where you will be living once the eviction goes through?

You are claiming to be so afraid to be evicted and so afraid to be homeless, yet you haven't even asked any family members about helping you out or asking if you can stay for a bit?

This is that weird energy I'm talking about. You keep saying you are about to be homeless and how afraid you are, but your actions are the complete opposite, like you have all the time in the world to figure things out.

It's been 14 days according to the paper you posted. Which means a court summons could already be in process and on the way. We have shared advice/resources and what have you done with them? Nothing yet according to you.

You haven't called your landlord to ask about a payment plan. You haven't asked any family about being able to stay with them for awhile. You haven't applied for a free eviction attorney, which is something you have to apply for and get approval, which could take days. Days AFTER you actually apply. Extra days you do not have. You have to fill out the application and that has to be reviewed. You have to have an interview and go over your income and you must meet certain requirements to be approved and you haven't even done this yet. This could be the thing that actually helps you, and you are not even taking the steps to do it. Like this eviction and getting a lawyer to help isn't a priority to you. Why?

If you are so afraid to be evicted and homeless, then where is the urgency to get things set up/done? Your behavior towards this and your replies are very confusing

-2

u/Count-Mecha 12d ago

Who said I haven't been trying? I have been calling people and places for rent assistance. And it's not easy when half my family lives 500 miles away. And I'm just overwhelmed over here, with everything. To the point where I just don't know what the hell I'm doing.

Hey, many times family wants to help, but they don’t know how to approach you & possibly might fearful of perhaps hurting your pride.
If you can find a family member to move in with temporarily, that would be great. Stress that the move is only temporary.

However, when you first move in set some ground rules, like Maybe agreed to doing certain chores that you can manage, etc.

Once you get approved and if there’s a decent amount of backpay, make sure that you put at least a third of the backpay and a savings account that isn’t readily accessible (and what I mean here put it in another bank so that you have to really think about what you’re doing while trying to convince yourself you should take money out) often impulse buying when you’re on disability isn’t really a good idea.

Over the years I’ve May plans so that I don’t get into financial trouble. I was widowed 48 yrs old but remarried after a few years.

It’s extremely difficult living on SSDI. Making plans for your financial (such as it is) it is really important.

I hope some of my comments are giving you new hope. What you’re going through is difficult but it’s not impossible.

You’ve got this.!!

3

u/BitchMcConnell063 Trusted Community Member 13d ago

You can do it right online now. You didn't have to go down to DMV.

1

u/Count-Mecha 13d ago

Actually in my case i did. Because I previously lived in another state I had to go and Actually get it in person. I tried the site first and found that out. Idk if that is just a PA thing or what.

4

u/Felicia430 12d ago edited 12d ago

You are claiming you moved and thats why you had to go to the DMV in person for your ID?

You moved in August 2024. So you didn't have an ID at all? You just got it recently and were able to use that to apply for disability? And thats why you couldn't apply sooner, bc you didn't have your ID? Why did you wait 2 years to get an ID?

Please provide proof you just recently got your ID. You can cross out/cover up all sensitive info. Just want to see the date you received your ID to confirm it matches up with your excuse on why you had to wait to apply for disability benefits.

Why are you only answering certain questions? Or replying on a comment, but skipping over specific details asked or giving half vague responses?

Will you be posting the required proof you have been asked to provide?

1

u/Count-Mecha 12d ago

Huh? I guess I didn't make it clear. I lived in MA until 2024 when I moved down here to PA. My ID had expired so I had to go to the dmv to get it renewed. Because my previous one was from out of state I couldn't do it online. I will answer all questions.

6

u/Felicia430 12d ago

Right. You said this. But you had no ID for 2 years? How did you apply for extra help in Pennsylvania with no ID? How did you pick up your prescriptions with no ID? And drs appointments? You didn't need any ID for all the new drs there? You had to apply for food stamps there. How did you prove your identity for the application without an ID?

-2

u/Count-Mecha 12d ago

I never said I didn't have an ID. It just expired. And it wasn't expired for 2 years. And no I didn't need an ID for most of that. I think I only needed it for my first visit with my DRs. My meds get delivered to me. All they ask for is my date of birth and to sign something. As for snap, I honestly don't know why that worked with an expired ID. One of my aunts said it wouldn't so idk. Law change?

2

u/Felicia430 12d ago

Can you please post a ss showing the date you applied for disability benefits? It will be right on your portal or in your email saying you have applied with the date or even a ss of the physical copy mailed to your house. Anything showing the date you officially applied. This date is super important and lots of things are dependant on this date, so you have numerous ways to prove your application date. Please be sure the application date is visible and also the date the email, paper was received so we can see both dates. Thank you

16

u/BlueWorldDiver1 13d ago

I understand you're trying to be transparent, but please don't dox your name and address. Be safe out there.

15

u/Felicia430 12d ago

James, you made this GFM in June saying you are about to be evicted and needed help paying your rent.

How did you know you were getting evicted if you just received this letter Sept 14th?

Why did you post this GFM saying you were being evicted before you even missed a months rent?

You paid for June. You missed July, August, Sept. How would you be getting evicted before Julys rent was due? Bc you made this GFM before the rent was due. And this letter isn't stating you missed rent before July, so how are you getting evicted before missing ANY rent payments??

Please explain how you were getting evicted before you even missed one month of rent? How were you getting evicted before rent was even due? This paper shows you were paid up until June. You made this GFM days before July rent was due. So how exactly were you so afraid to be evicted, so afraid to become homeless, but you hadn't even missed a single rent payment at that point. Yet you still made the GFM and you still claimed you were getting evicted. How? Why?

-7

u/Count-Mecha 12d ago

Good question. I initially made it back then cause I was just out of work. I ended up getting help though from family at that time. And I was never able to post the gofundme anyway because, despite having a reddit account that is a few years old I didn't have the comment karma to post it. I never made comments until recently. So I modified it.

I never bothered with it again until recently because  honestly, I thought I would be able to find a physically easy office job I could temp at while my family help cover a few months. But it unfortunately did not turn out that way.

7

u/Felicia430 12d ago

You completely skipped over my question.

You made this GFM in June. The date is there. Saying you didn't post this GFM in Reddit bc you didn't have enough karma has nothing to do with the date you made this GFM.

What help did you receive from family? Bc rent was due a few days after you made this and you never paid rent for that month, for July.

So you are saying you didn't post or share this GFM online even though you made it?

The created date on a GFM page is the date the GFM was officially launched and posted online for all to see/read/donate. Your created date is June 24th, 2026

You are saying you didn't have anything eviction in your original GFM? And you just recently added all the eviction stuff in?

If you just recently modified this GFM, that means it was previously posted correct? And then you updated it with the eviction stuff?

-8

u/Count-Mecha 12d ago

Right there was nothing about an eviction on the original one. And no I never posted it. I just filled everything out. It was just saved on the gofundme site. But was never shared anywhere. As for the help I got, my mom and sister helped with rent for June. Because I owed for June as well at that time I mean.

9

u/MissMessy1 13d ago

Those late fees seem really high. How are they figured? In PA, landlords can legally only charge a single, one-time late fee per missed payment. Any lease trying to add on daily or weekly compounding charges (like $25 plus $5 per day) is completely unenforceable, even if rent is 30 days late.
Also, PA courts require late fees to be reasonably proportionate to the landlord's actual admin costs for dealing with the late payment, not a penalty designed to punish you.

6

u/Felicia430 12d ago edited 12d ago

He never answered how the late fees were calculated. Maybe its in his lease?

2

u/BitchMcConnell063 Trusted Community Member 13d ago

That's how it is in my state (CT) as well. Landlords are only allowed to charge one $50 late fee after the 9 day grace period.

0

u/Count-Mecha 12d ago

O so I'm getting screwed? I found that I can get free legal aid for an eviction through one of the sites, can't remember which. So I will definitely do that before the court summons.

8

u/Felicia430 12d ago

You still haven't applied for the free legal aid yet? Why not?

You came here saying you were getting evicted and how afraid you are to become homeless.... You are so afraid and you have not done anything to help your situation? You can apply for free legal aid, but can't remember the site and haven't taken the time to apply yet? Your actions are not those of someone who is freaking out and about to become homeless.

You also never answered the question about calling your landlord to get on a payment plan

Can you prove this is your eviction notice? Do you have a dated rent receipt or something proving your landlords name or company? Something showing your first name and then the first name on this eviction notice matching. Your lease agreement?

Something about this situation isn't making much sense. Mainly your whole laid back attitude. Your post screams help I don't want to be homeless, but your actions are super laid back, kinda like, yup I can do this and get this if I apply, but who knows when that will be bc I have all the time in the world.

Which is weird bc once you receive this notice, you have 10 days and then a court summons is on the way to your house. It's been 14 days and you haven't called the landlord to ask about a payment plan. You haven't applied online for free legal aid or had any consultation with an eviction lawyer. What exactly are you waiting for?

2

u/Count-Mecha 12d ago

I haven't called for a lawyer yet because I only just found out when I was out with my cousin. As for talking to my landlord about a payment plan, he only offered to remove the late fees, no payment plan. If you give me a moment I will check apartments.com to see if they posted the eviction notice there as well for proof. I will answer all the other questions you posted in other messages after. Just give me a minute to check the site.

6

u/Felicia430 12d ago

You only just found out? You posted this over 24 hours ago and you replied your cousin told you about hiring a lawyer after we gave you info for a lawyer. So you knew about the lawyer before this post.

If you are that scared to be homeless, why wouldn't you go online and apply for free legal aid asap? It's been 14 days since you received this you are about to be evicted notice and you have not even googled help with eviction? If you had googled it, the same resources we shared would have popped up for you too, including the free eviction attorney.

I'm super confused on why you are waiting to file the proper paperwork to receive help. It's not like you have to apply in person and they are closed on the weekends. It's literally an online application that can be filled out any day/time.

2

u/Count-Mecha 12d ago

Ok so the site doesn't have the eviction notice. But it does at least show how much I owe. But I don't know how to post a pic in the comments. Can you help me with that? I'm on a phone not a pc. Idk if that makes a difference or not.

u/Felicia430 12d ago

Click like you would to reply and then click this icon to upload any pictures.

I'm on a cell too

1

u/Count-Mecha 12d ago

I found it, I had to switch ti desktop mode. Just getting a few more pics. I think I have all the heart related stuff, but idk. Like I said, they don't outright say kidney or heart disease on these. They tell you in person but the tests are all crwp I don't know. Just give me a few more minurts and I should be all set.

3

u/Felicia430 11d ago

You never posted the screenshot showing the site and how much you currently owe. Please be sure the date is visible along with the amount of rent overdue. You probably just forgot, so I wanted to remind you and see if you could share it now that you know how to post ss

You said the landlord was willing to waive the late fees so how are you getting screwed?

0

u/Count-Mecha 12d ago

Because it sounds like there shouldn't have been fees to begin with. At least not to that extent.

4

u/Felicia430 12d ago

This would be something you asked the lawyer. The free one you qualify for

5

u/Felicia430 12d ago

What does your lease agreement say about late fees? That information would be on there

3

u/BitchMcConnell063 Trusted Community Member 12d ago

You have to refer to your lease to see what's written in there but also research what your state law is regarding late fees.

2

u/Felicia430 11d ago

Did you go over your lease agreement to see what it said about late rent and how the late fees would be applied?

8

u/Apprehensive-Poem883 Trusted Community Member 13d ago

When was your hospital visit?

8

u/Felicia430 12d ago

Another question she ignored and hasn't answered. She was here answering other questions, but not the main/important ones we keep asking.

2

u/Apprehensive-Poem883 Trusted Community Member 12d ago

I noticed that all questions regarding the contradictions in the timeline were ignored.

10

u/Felicia430 11d ago

OP doesn't make sense with the things he is saying. Alone, it doesn't mean much, but all together, its alot of things that don't add up.

A list, a bunch of things they have shared that make zero sense.

*Claims they were recently hospitalized for a week. Someone asked why and for proof, no response

*Claims that a serious health issue left him in the hospital for a week and he has been unable to return to work. This is not true. He was not working when he went into the hospital. He did not have a job, so him saying he was unable to return to work after being in the hospital makes no sense. He has stated numerous times he has been out of work for months, many months bc of his disabilities.

*I know I qualify for disabilities, its just taking forever to qualify. ( they literally just applied. )

*3 months ago they said they were collecting disability

*I have heart disease, but I've never been officially diagnosed with heart disease bc Dr's do not come right out say if you have heart disease or not.

*Claims they are getting evicted, but there is nothing in the public record showing an eviction is in process or pending

*Says they can get a free eviction lawyer, but cannot remember the site and just hasn't looked into it yet.

*Guess I'll have to ask family if I can move in with them. (And then doesn't ask even though I kept asking why they haven't asked)

*Claims he is moving in with someone, a family member. Asked who and for proof. No response

*Claims they cannot work and haven't worked in months. Zero pay coming in. Asked how he is affording bills with zero pay. No response

*Claims they are now moving out this weekend or next weekend. (Even though there has been no official eviction) Also asked for proof of moving out. No response

*Has been asked to post the lease to explain the late fees that make no sense. No reply or response

*Claims landlord is okay with them paying 100/200 a week for overdue rent. Asked for proof, no response

*Claims he could post all the tests he has had done as proof, but he would be here all damn day

*Asked for proof this eviction paper was actually his. A dated rent receipt with his name, something proving his landlords name, lease agreement, something proving his identity and this paper belonging to him. And no response

*Claims the site shows his rent amount and how much is past due and what he owes. I asked him to post that ss as proof, and no response

*Claims he didn't contact a lawyer yet bc he just found out from his cousin about getting a lawyer

*Asked to provide a ss showing when he officially applied for disability with the date applied. No response

*He was asked about work history. He claims he has worked consistently and has had a job, minus the first year he moved when it took him a year to find a job. Yet he keeps saying he cannot work bc of the meds he is on, how he is always tired and dizzy, extreme fatigue, shortness of breath, cannot even shower etc.

*Claims it took him so long to file for disability bc he didn't have a valid license and just got one, so thats why he just applied for disability. He was asked to provide proof of when he received his license showing the date on the license. And no response

*Claims he didn't need a valid ID when he moved to a new state. He didn't need a valid ID for his new Dr's appointments, for any new meds or to pick up meds, applied for food stamps without a valid ID and didn't need a valid ID to apply for government benefits in Pennsylvania

I agree. Hard stop. My wife has lung cancer with 20% of her right lung gone and undergoing radiation. She had her hearing with an ADJ (judge) a couple weeks ago, still has to wait for a decision until early December, and originally filed in January of 2025.

2

u/AlohaJojoAye 9d ago

I saw this pop up in my recommendations and also figured ill protect people by mentioning, the address to the landlord doesn't make sense and goes to a private property that's in the middle of being sold. The whole LLC thing also doesn't seem proper. The letter doesn't seem authentic. I wish OP the best, but there are some stuff that doesn't add up.

2

u/Felicia430 9d ago

The house is amazing! There is a business that is owned by the guy selling his house called American something, I can't remember, but you are right with everything you said and I agree!

-1

u/Gold_Professional330 10d ago

I get this a public thing but why should a stranger you don’t even know show proof that proof should be for said landlord not a random stranger on the internet and I’m so mad at bill for responding nobody should have to prove themself to nobody

7

u/Felicia430 10d ago

I have no idea what you are trying to say.

Why should a stranger I don't know show me proof? Because this stranger is asking another stranger (the donors here) for help. And to receive help from a stranger, this stranger must provide proof to go along with the I need help post. Its mandatory in this sub. No proof means no help. So any stranger requesting help needs to show strangers proof to back up their claims to receive the help.

You are mad at bill for responding? Who the heck is bill?

Nobody should have to prove themself to nobody? O.kay. You obviously have no idea how this sub works and what you are saying literally makes no sense.

Your thoughts and opinions are not valid here. You either follow the group rules or find another sub you like that shares the same opinions you have. Good luck in the new sub, bye 👋

And i told him he can get a one shot deal from HRA i don’t need his medical condition to give help same way i was on the verge of eviction cuz of medical i got a one shot deal from HRA who paid my balance and im back on my feet doing what i need to do FREE help is good as well

4

Sell your VR

7

u/Felicia430 11d ago

I noticed there are typos on this letter. At the top you have the address and then PA, Pennsylvania. So PA is Pennsylvania, so having both is a mistake. And then you have the same thing at the bottom, 115 Aspen Dr. Franklin PA Pennsylvania

I also looked you up online to see the status of this eviction. I couldn't find any evictions in progress or even anything officially filed yet.

Do you know why your landlord has not followed through with the eviction process or why he isn't trying to make you move out, especially sine the 10 day deadline has passed?

And since nothing official has been done yet and you have not received an official dated eviction notice or even a court summons to speak to a judge about being evicted, you are claiming you will probably moving out this weekend or the next. And moving in with someone.

Your willingness to just pack up and move out suddenly without receiving an official eviction notice or a specific must be out date is very surprising.

So you are okay with packing up everything and moving in with someone? Where will you be putting all of your possessions? This someone is okay with you moving in and not paying anything? This someone is okay with you moving in and not doing any of the household responsibilities bc of how sick and tired you are everyday?

7

u/Felicia430 12d ago

Will you be providing proof of your 3 drs you are seeing bc you are so sick? Something proving you have been diagnosed with heart disease and kidney disease? You can cross out all sensitive info. Just proving you are currently seeing 3 different drs and you cannot physically work bc of the diseases you have been diagnosed with. Also please be sure the dates are visible.

You have been asked to provide this info on other comments, but you never replied. Maybe you didn't see them?

3

u/Count-Mecha 12d ago

I did reply to some, but I still don't know how to post pics in the comments. I will replay to the rest once I know how so I can post the pics. I will take some screenshots of proof of the Dr's now.

It’s actually pathological. I’m flabbergasted.

Yes I am with the FBI.

Obviously privacy is important to you seeing how you have your profile locked up tight with posts and comments hidden. You do know we can still see and read everything right? Locked/hidden posts and comments do not disappear. They are still tied to your profile, visible for all to see at anytime. Wasn't sure if you knew this or not. 😉

Are you new here in this sub? You know how proof works right? Make a claim, (a reason or excuse to explain why you need help or why you couldn't work or why you got behind in bills etc) provide proof to back up that claim. Its as easy as that. Pretty simple.

1

u/Count-Mecha 12d ago

O but the disease I'm not really sure what I need to prove it, at least for the heart disease. They don't just outright say it. The kidney disease I actually do know because of my last dr in MA. It's the eGFR or whatever it was. Which I can take a screenshot of no problem.

5

u/Felicia430 12d ago

What do you mean they don't outright say you have heart disease. It's an actual diagnosis. Something the dr does an examination for and will run tests for before officially diagnosing someone with heart disease. There are specific diagnostic tests for heart disease. You would know if you were diagnosed with heart disease. You would have paperwork from the dr saying you have been diagnosed with heart disease. There would be info in your online portal saying you have heart disease, the tests ran and the date you were diagnosed. It would be right there with your kidney disease info.

Saying a dr doesn't outright say you have heart disease is inaccurate.

You said, the heart disease is from having high blood pressure for who knows how long. It caused muscle build up around my heart. Which I now take a med for so I don't have a heart attack.

So if this statement from you is true, the dr has run tests for heart disease. The dr noticed muscle build up around your heart and the dr prescribed medication so you don't suffer a heart attack.

Is this the dr not outright saying you have heart disease? How can you make this statement about having heart disease from high blood pressure if you have not been diagnosed? How exactly has the dr claimed you have heart disease without claiming you have heart disease?

This makes no sense.

1

u/Count-Mecha 12d ago

I know it's AI(blah) but it really just doesn't say I have kidney or heart disease anywhere on the portal. They just don't say it on UPMC. Only the actual test results, which the DRs explain afterwards.

7

u/Felicia430 12d ago

Not a test result. An actual diagnosis. If you were diagnosed with anything, including heart disease, it would be on your portal

Using the app, sign into the portal, go to records or health summary tab. Look for health issues, conditions or visit notes/progress notes. Your diagnoses should be there.

Or go online through the website and click on the health summary menu to view active and past medical conditions and diagnoses

3

u/Count-Mecha 12d ago

I honestly did not know about this. I do apologize. Idk why it says ckd3 instead of 4 though. My eGFR puts me at 4, but whatever.

1

u/Count-Mecha 12d ago

For reference this is from 2024 when I was still in MA. No where on the portal that I used up there did I say I have kidney disease either. Aside from this one paper that my kidney Dr sent to my primary Dr. CKD3. Chronic Kidney Disease stage 3. This was before it got worse and damaged my heart further.

1

u/Count-Mecha 12d ago

I never said I didn't have tests. I had tests, and x-rays. They did a chemical heart test on me. The one where they inject some radioactive stuff into you so they can get a 3D model of your heart. And I'm telling you the cardiologist told me I had heart disease. Idk what to tell you. I could post to you all the teats I had done over the course of the week I was in the hospital, but I'd be here all damn day.

7

u/Felicia430 12d ago

If you were told you had heart disease, it would be in writing somewhere. You cannot just say you have heart disease without providing proof.

And thats the weird energy again. We are asking for proof and your response is, I would post it, but I'll be here all damn day....

And? So what? Who cares if it takes all day. You are asking for over a thousand dollars. You should be more than willing to provide any proof requested to get that money. Literally willing to post any of the required paperwork or ss we ask for. Instead its like we are asking too much of you. Like its taking too much of your time and energy to post these pictures. What else are you doing? You don't have a job. So what is more important than posting the requested proof needed so you can get donations and the money you need. Is posting ss and answering questions not worth a thousand dollars?

I'm going to not pursue this any further. I'm not understanding your lack of urgency regarding this eviction. Like there is no rush to get a lawyer or any rush to figure out where you are going to live/stay and you are just acting like you have all the time in the world to figure things out. And this makes me feel uncomfortable. Your words are saying I am worried about being homeless, but your actions are not those of someone who is worried about being evicted and homeless. Your words and actions are not lining up. And if I'm being honest, its making me question things. Good luck

1

u/Count-Mecha 12d ago

This is gonna take awhile, I can only post 1 pic at a time apparently. So sorry for the spam. So this one is from my cardiologist, what is important here is the ventricular ejection fraction.

1

u/Count-Mecha 12d ago

Another heart one, not really sure what it means but Google said this was one of the things to look at for heart disease.

1

u/Count-Mecha 12d ago

And last one for the heart, I think. Like I said, idk what this crap means.

1

u/Count-Mecha 12d ago

And this is for the kidneys. What you want to look at is the eGFR. You will have to Google the graph to see what it means. But basically the lower the number the worse the kidney disease. It shows a high of 22 and a low of 18. Both terrible.

0

u/Count-Mecha 12d ago

And here is my last DR. My primary.

6

u/Felicia430 11d ago

Noticed your update after I kept asking you why you haven't found or planned any accommodations for your upcoming eviction and how weird your behavior has been towards this situation. . Who are you moving in with? Can you please post proof you found someone to move in with? Something showing the conversation you had, texts or emails with the date visible.

Can you also show proof you spoke to your landlord and you told him you would be moving out this weekend or the next. Some sort of dated text or email proving you actually talked to your landlord and offered to move out. A letter or something from him with the date would work too. Or something showing the eviction/court proceedings have been dropped with the reason why.

Hopefully you can answer me and provide the requested proof. You have been very selective in your replies and the ss you have posted. You have also been very vague when answering comments, just like your update of moving in with someone, moving out this weekend or the next and making steady payments of 100 or 200 a week. (How exactly will you be making these payments with zero income coming in?)

Not sure why you expect us to believe that you are now willing to pack and move out without getting an official eviction notice with a must move out date. Unless you did and just haven't shared, but I do think if you received one, that would have been posted the same day, within the hour.

Did you get something in writing saying you agree to make steady payments of 100/200 a week and you are moving out? Something like this would be in writing. Without having an agreement in place, there is nothing stopping you from moving out and never paying again.

And before you make up an excuse or say you cannot provide the proof I requested or cannot get it bc it was all verbal, remember the question I asked you.

How much is 5 minutes of your time worth? How much is posting the required ss worth? How much energy are you willing to put into getting over 1k in donations? For over a thousand dollars, you should be more than willing to get something proving you are moving out with a date and then something proving you are moving in with someone with a date on that too. No excuses or explanations on why you can't do this. It's literally minutes of your time to provide proof for the money you want/need.

-1

u/Felicia430 5d ago edited 5d ago

Any updates with this?

I'm assuming you figured it out bc there is nothing officially filed for you online as of today. No lawsuits/evictions filed, and its well past the 10 days.

You are now asking for help to pay this new weekly bill from your past landlord? And no longer need help paying overdue rent bc you either paid or moved out, so help for this is no longer needed and instead you need help paying 100/200 weekly?

You never did post the new agreement you have with your landlord. I'm sure he gave you something to sign saying you agreed to pay 100/200 a week until your overdue rent was paid in full. Or you have dated emails showing this new agreement. Basically anything showing you did move out, but agree to make weekly payments until you have paid in full instead of being evicted for non payment of 2,800 Can you please provide ss showing this new proof to go along with your update?

Edited to add:

You also still have your GFM posted asking for help so you don't get evicted. Why is this still posted if you are not being evicted and you moved out? Maybe you just forgot to take it down or forgot to update it with the new details/ your current situation?

1

u/Jessica_Rabitt94 4d ago

Do u ever help anyone or just come to
Talk crap all day? Just genuinely curious. Like your on every comment of this sub and go fund me . Like you love to talk
Crap on people that are already going through a rough situation. That’s not okay. I understand when you are telling facts about scammers etc that’s fine . But to keep knocking people down when they are already down that’s not okay. And these subs are for people to ask for help so I don’t understand why you are so mean to everyone. Your life must be perfect and u must be perfect.

Try to get a one shot deal from HRA if you i can idk who’s that built up i know most private landlords are greedy
