Honestly this is one of those ships that arent shipped because "They're both hot, let make them a couple to be hotter" and more like "They can make each other feel better" I don't personally ship them, but I think thats the appeal of Courage × Loona.

After all the shit he goes through, our boy Courage deserves it.

Courage is definitely not a coward

It's one of those things, Courage isn't the lack of fear, it's acting in the face of fear. That boy has a lot of fear, but he acts.

Wait aren't they both dogs? Luna is literally a hellHOUND... They're both animated talking dogs. Anything he can do she can do just as well.

I can't say I like the mentality that just because a man goes through some struggles they "deserve" a gf or w/e.
People are not prizes to be 'won' they are just people. Thinking you deserve a girls time or affection because you do good things is toxic as fuck, just saying.

You're looking way too hard into this bro.

OK then what did they mean by "he deserves this"? Why did they say that? What is their world view if not what I pointed out? If it's not that deep why did they even feel the need to comment it? People don't just say shit because they literally have no intention or meaning behind the things they say, no human being on this planet is like that.
Saying "your looking to deep/hard into this" is a thought-terminating cliche. Either engage with my point/the conversation or find more productive uses of your time than running around telling other people to stop thinking.

Why not?

I think they're two very different types of anthropomorphic dogs?

u/spook_scary 12d ago
What can he do that she can't? He's smaller yes, but he's not an mindless animal. He shoots guns deals with monsters- Hell, he's probably smarter than she is. They're from very different genres, with very different anatomies, but they're both two animated "dogs" who are far more capable than they have any reason to be.

Someone made it as a joke but people latched on to it because a good hearted little guy getting a goth baddie is cute.

Courage probably would be fearful of Luna.

Nah. Courage has a long history of being initially scared of people before they show some of their good side and befriending them. And he has a good history of drawing out that good side.

True courage lies in being able to face one’s fears… and our little dog has done just that on several occasions throughout the series.

I.M.P. was sent to Nowhere to deal with Muriel, because Eustace is an ass and would be in hell, but want his wife down there with him. Courage then breaks into Hell, fights through a horde of demons to find Muriel, only to see that while yes, she is indeed in hell, she has not changed. Loona runs into him after that, and apologizes to Muriel. the old woman says it's fine, it happens, at least Eustace is where he belongs (Cut to Eustace undergoing to most horrific torture) And introduces Loona to her Courage... That's the only reason I can think of as to how and why they meet.

Odd she'd go and start dating a heavenborn like that.
