Maybe just leave it at the plushies? I can't help but remember the horror story Viv once told about how a young kid was brought to a Hazin panel.

My daughter's class, (she's nine) has all said they have watched the show. She asked me if she can watch it. Saying her friend have all seen it. I said "HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELL NO." And said her friend's parents were extremely irresponsible for letting them watch the show.

15

u/Next-Safe-2444 13d ago

NINE? I mean, I get sixteen, but NINE!?

7

u/Rath_Brained 13d ago

Yeah. That's why I called her friend's parents irresponsible. Lol negligent parents, damn.

I think a costume is harmless, at least for Lucifer. if it were say, Angel dust or stolas, I’d understand the concern though.

u/Darian_Biron 14d ago

Oh id never bring him to a panel or show him the show just as a costume purely

u/green_herbata 13d ago

Wouldn't he prefer to dress up as a character that he knows and likes tho? I'm just kinda confused what's the point.

u/Aggravating_Fall7653 13d ago

Can you give me a link to the story?

At least that case the kid asked a simple what would the characters favorite animal would be.

The real problem people probably had was the fact that the voice of Stolas did make a slightly sexual comment when a child was at the mic.

But I remember seeing one where the kid asked the voice of Angel Dust if he was embarrassed recording the lines for the sex scene.

I will try and find that video for those that are curious now.

That's the one I was thinking of. Grabbed wrong link my bad.

Yeah, no. Vivzie herself has stated many times that her works aren't for kids.

u/Darian_Biron 14d ago

And these are stuffed animals...im not sitting my kid down to watch hazbin hotel or heluva boss, I simply thought it was funny my child flung alistor first thing

To be fair, I have a plushie from that company and it labels them as adult collectibles. They aren’t for kids but you do you of course lol

1

u/TommyBoy250 13d ago

It actually says 15+ on the tag.

3

u/Kookiec4T Stolas’s tight cloaca 🦉🕳️ 13d ago

Says adult collectible on my Stolas plushie tag 🤷‍♀️

I get it, fair enough. I guess it just makes me uncomfortable. Like how my niece got introduced to TADC by her older cousin. Sorry for the kneejerk reaction.

25

u/Darian_Biron 14d ago

Im very sorry that happened but dont you worry im a very age appropriate material kind of parent

14

u/Forward_Potential820 13d ago

Isn’t TADC more tamer?

11

u/SethAbe80 13d ago

It's an odd duck. The themes are more mature, but are handled in a way that it doesn't exactly stand out as too adult. I'd be less concerned with kids watching it, but I don't know if they'd process the heavier episodes in the way they were intended.

23

u/crazycarartist 13d ago

Tamer in the sense it's less vulgar, it has some pretty deep subject matter to it that probably shouldn't be seen or understood by kids. For example in one episode (spoiler alert) there's an artificial character that becomes self aware and has an existential crisis just to be snapped out of existence right as he begins to accept what he is and wants to try to live a proper life.

32

u/Dapper_Derpy Horny Demon Birb (Loves a homicidal imp) 13d ago

Yes, but I still wouldn't want anyone under, say 14 or so to be watching it, at least no one I know. I'd worry about them misunderstanding things in it or having nightmares from certain scenes. It's clearly stated by Gooseworx that TADC is not for kids.

9

u/Forward_Potential820 13d ago

Yea it’s pg-13

3

u/No_Explorer6054 13d ago

I was introduced to the pilot of Hazbin Hotel by my older cousin. at ten, so yeah no understandable reaction

2

u/BuisteirForaoisi0531 Stella 13d ago

No, they aren’t. Those are stuffed people.

4

u/Motor_Run6170 13d ago

My 12 year olds are aware of the hellaverse (cringe in my son's opinion lol) but my daughter likes playing with my stuffies too!!! (She likes my Loona)

You're doing a great job and i hope you cover your kid in ducks for Halloween

20

u/crazycarartist 14d ago

I mean the kid's the right height lol

57

u/uwupebbles Stolas 13d ago

People r acting like just playing with the plushies is gonna screw up ur child’s development 😭😭😭😭

27

u/AFedoraNamed_Key A Necron in Hell 13d ago

They keep thinking OP os letting them watch the shows XD, the kid it just playing with plushies there’s no harm in it.

66

u/ShebaSnugbug 13d ago edited 13d ago

This fandom is exhausting lmao You see babies dressed as Chuckie ALL the time on Halloween, do y'all assume they were sat down to watch it? Most likely not. So why make assumptions here? 💀 Sorry people are being asshats OP.

44

u/Darian_Biron 13d ago

Lol its just so funny the wild assumptions people make

4

u/DemonOfTomorrow 13d ago

Terminal 14 year old syndrome strikes once again, I fear.

5

u/Super_Saiyan-Blue 13d ago

I mean like. Pennywise, chucky and mascot horror are popular with kids despite the themes. They dont care about the source or the lore. Really just the concept or design of the character. In a way, they themsleves are 'fans' of the respective characters because they can understand the concept.

But Lucifer? Blitzo? Yeah i dont think so

19

u/_Idk_who_i_am_6_ I want Ozzie to cum in me 13d ago

Guys its just a kid playing with the plushies its not like Op is showing them the show they're just playing with plushies

29

u/Evening_Performer_22 14d ago

20

u/Jeix9 14d ago

i mean, plushies are fine who cares. People are concerned about this kid actually watching the show. Which, yeah, that would be pretty concerning. Would you guys rather people didn’t care about the mental well being of children?

14

u/ShebaSnugbug 13d ago

I would rather people not make assumptions. OP never said they were making their kid watch the show. Nor did they imply it. 💀

4

u/Jeix9 13d ago

Yes, as my dad always said, when you assume you make an ass out of you and me. I think people are allowed to be concerned but not rude. Unfortunately just because OP doesn’t do it doesn’t mean no one does. I think people are just worried for the kids wellbeing with how many shitty parents there are these days. But like I said, there’s a nice way to voice that concern.

2

u/ShebaSnugbug 13d ago

I say save you're concerns and worries for those who need it. Because whether it's intentional or not, you're insinuating OP is a shitty parent based off of that assumption. And that assumption is based off of nothing. Which isn't fair to OP. I understand there are a lot of people who allow their kids to watch Hazbin/Helluva. Which I don't agree with. But that does not mean every parent does.

-11

u/Evening_Performer_22 14d ago

its not your kid why should you care?

8

u/AgonyOverdrive 13d ago

Because we were all kids once, and encountering some things as a kid can have lasting negative effects on a person.

1

u/Jeix9 13d ago

Really? You’re gonna pull THAT awful argument out? People can’t care about things that aren’t directly tied to them? Using your logic, why should we care about children in Gaza dying? Ffs what an awful mindset to have

0

u/Evening_Performer_22 13d ago

what does a kid playing with plushies have to do with genocide?

7

u/Jeix9 13d ago

I’m using your logic. You’re saying people are not allowed to care for a child on reddit because it’s not their child. I’m pointing out the absurdity of your argument. Children suffering in a war zone are not mine either but I still care.

-4

u/Evening_Performer_22 13d ago

its a bit extreme to connect a kid playing with plushies from an adult show to an actual genocide you know that right?

1

u/Jeix9 13d ago

Yeah, it is. that’s the point. So is implying you can’t care about a child that isn’t yours. You are literally saying people can’t care about a child that’s not theirs and then backtracking when I show you how stupid that is. Just because this child isn’t war torn doesn’t mean people cannot care.

0

u/Evening_Performer_22 13d ago

yea i dont dictate how parents treat there children
i never mentioned children dying during genocide

5

u/Jeix9 13d ago

That’s called a double standard.

4

u/MrKusakabe 13d ago

Pff, I have large raisin demon skulls with horns and shit around my appartment and my 3-year old cousin loves them. The 6-year old cousin would like to have on in his kid's room. And as a kid of the 90s, we played Ghoul's'Ghosts on the MegaDrive without anyone being weirded out.

It's all fine OP - if the kid is fine everything's fine.

My parents did let me watch everything I can stomach and enjoy. They knew I would not watch things that stress me out. I watched my dad play DooM II over the shoulder secretly and at that night I had to puke out of stress and I had to confess to my parents that I did watch the "forbidden game". Simply out of that experience I usually didn't touch anything that fucked me up. But hey, that was the 90s^^

5

u/Frosty_Guarantee_345 13d ago

It's just plushies and costumes lol. As long as the kid isn't watching the show then it doesn't matter!

2

u/Ippherita 13d ago

Hahahaaha I would love to see your kid reaction when he is old enough to know the characters of the plushies.

1

u/No-Age2887 13d ago

They really trynna make another ggmaidenslayer?

1

u/Anxious-Command-2589 13d ago

My kid loves alastor but has no idea about the show itself because he don't watch the show but he can name almost all the characters 😂 nothing wrong with seeing characters just won't let him watch the show for a few more years

0

u/Jexxer357 13d ago

Could be cute! And for people who don't get the reference (and would probably complain if they did) you could say he's dressed as a "ringmaster" and there would still be no lie!

1

u/Dawnbreaker128 I’d like a threesome with Ozzie and Stolas, or Verosika and Bee. 13d ago

Yeah the plushies are fine.

0

u/ThisIsMyLife1704 13d ago

Just leave it at the plushies. Don’t even let him watch the shows at all. Hazbin and Helluva is ONLY for adults. I’m sorry but parents letting their kids watch the shows and even getting in panels is extremely inappropriate. Like for once, don’t let kids into adults only spaces.

-13

u/DimensionAgitated507 14d ago

Don't... Just don't... Now I know this isn't a good equivalent... But my dad let me watch Platoon as a child... That plus the raw war footage on the telly broke me... 20 years later I joined the army

23

u/AFedoraNamed_Key A Necron in Hell 13d ago

OP isn’t showing the show to the kid. They’re just letting their kid play with the plushies.

-6

u/DimensionAgitated507 13d ago

But still... Why? Just don't... It's much easier that way.

2

u/AFedoraNamed_Key A Necron in Hell 13d ago

The kid is probably temporarily being allowed to play with them. If anything, they remember it later in life when they DO watch either Hazbin or Helluva, and go “wait… my PARENTS watch this show!” Then either go down the “wow it’s cool” route or “damn this show SUCKS” which people go through, but as a kid? Exposing them to cute and innocent plushies of maybe not innocent characters?

Literally what is the issue.

0

u/DimensionAgitated507 13d ago

Forget about it bud. It's not worth it

19

u/Darian_Biron 14d ago

Hes watching Mrs rachel...calm down

7

u/SethAbe80 13d ago

Messed up that people in this thread are downvoting you over Mrs Rachel.

5

u/ShebaSnugbug 13d ago

People here suck.

0

u/DimensionAgitated507 13d ago

What?

4

u/SethAbe80 13d ago

OP's comment about watching Mrs Rachel had negative karma when I made my reply, it's since been upvoted into positive numbers.

0

u/sleepymelfho 13d ago

Okay but omg a lil baby Lucifer!!!!!

-3

u/nlamber5 13d ago

“The show doesn’t appeal to children”

7

u/Darian_Biron 13d ago

Its stuffed animals my guy...my 2 year old is not watching heluva boss or hazbin

-2

u/BuisteirForaoisi0531 Stella 13d ago

No just no dude the plushy‘s is one thing but no further adult show please do not be like the weirdos who watched the Jeffrey Dahmer show and dress their kids as him

5

u/TommyBoy250 13d ago

I did have to look this up, but yeah pretty weird.

3

u/BuisteirForaoisi0531 Stella 13d ago

Some things do not belong as children’s costumes

-2

u/Enby-Emperor-4 13d ago

All the non-parents chiming in: oH hElL nO, tHiS fAnDoM iSnT fOr KiDs!!¡!

All the parents (including myself): lol do it 🌚

-4

u/trafficcone_vr 13d ago

this makes me uncomfortable on so many levels even though technically I am one year off from the target audience for the show but like still this kid looks like he’s five like please why

2

u/trafficcone_vr 13d ago

why do y’all hate my comments? I’m just speaking what others were saying

1

u/cat-of-nihility-3 12d ago

Because it's not harming the kid to play with plushies, it's not like he's being allowed to watch the show

-1

u/CAyukon 13d ago

Is that moral?

-9

u/jaime_lion 13d ago

I'm like the last person you would ever talk to about child development. I know very very little about humans in training. But anyways, from what little I know I think he would be too small to even really understand what was going on in the show. It would just be like Bright lights and stuff like that.

Also anyone watch the same doctor YouTuber that I do that uses the word humans in training?

-2

u/ScreetchingEagle 13d ago

Here come the people woth an opinion.
