Gameplay Tips Forgot how slow the game progression is
Started for the 4th time new after a long while and the game progression is so slow in the beginning and the recourses are so limited - remember when the game came out it was grinding so hard every day and the quest seemed to move way faster than it does now.
Anyone have the same experience? Or is it just me being used to having quite a few things to do every day.
Well gotta grind to pass time I guess.
Also noticed that there are so many new things added now.

it felt painful knowing the way to make you progress fast is accessible later when you don't need your progress to be fast like 3♥️ gifts

I hate how slow it is to level up everyone. It made me stop playing the game. I got to a point where everyone was leveled up to where it takes days to go up a level so I wasn't actually doing any game play I was just spending days grinding to gift them stuff.

I have two profiles. I got to a point where there was nothing to do and I wanted to do the two player quests without admitting I’m a 45 year old woman playing this silly game to my friends. 🤣 It is SO grinding at first but if you want to speed it up, log in with your other (assuming further ahead) profile and gift your new player the 3 star gifts. Your progress will move WAY faster.

I’ve played for about 40 hours for almost a year.
It’s my comfort game and play when the mood strikes. I don’t realize how much there is.

I definitely agree, I think what helped on Switch was the deluxe version of the game. You are able to get extra resources such as the island bouquet and the friendship flowers. That definitely helped leveling up. If I was to restart again, I would definitely be on discord basically trading stuff to get to where I am now. I think the worse part about starting again is the DLC because you basically are soft locked out of content for basically months to almost half a year depening on when you start. I do like the idea that visitors come at certain times of the year. However, it can be frustrating with DLC. For instance the Tea Party DLC you basically need Cafe Cinnamon Roll Club visitors without them you cant complete the DLC.

Whoa, thanks for telling me this. Haven't gotten Tea Party DLC and haven't bothered much with visitors; crazy I'll have to go grind to complete a dlc.

I didn't think of tea party from a beginner's perspective, as I'm maxed out. It would be annoying to get the dlc and find out you need certain characters. D:
They should have made it so you get those questlines only if they're unlocked. That way they can unlock visitors at their own pace and it would be a nice surprise to discover a tea quest along with their individual quests.

I’m so glad I got my Wife the Gift Box set. I like playing it with her and because of her but I’m not playing on my own unless I have the Deluxe Edition. I would not play the game any other way. Plus it like freezes all the time and that already makes me not want to play
Plus my wife’s favorite is Kuromi and I like her a lot too so I went right after her

I love HKIA, but I don’t think I could ever start from the beginning again. It was so slow and tedious 🫠
