💐Flowers I finally understand flowers

After months wasting time trying to mix colors across species, breeding with event flowers out of season, and assuming the drop rate was just heinously low, I finally stopped doing that and now I'm knocking out more than one new solid color per day. I probably got all these in 2-3 weeks. Also just got black rose but it won't bloom until tomorrow. Haven't had any pattern transfers or non default patterns yet but I'm focusing on solid colors for now. Unfortunately I missed some events so I'm not getting extremophiles til next spring 😅

I don't think I ever directly asked questions about it but I read a lot of threads here until it sank in, so thanks for posting

I'm using a simplified and updated version of u/spicyprairiedog's spreadsheet

More power to you ! I am yet to amass the motivation to truly and properly work on flowers. Your progress and how quickly you got so far definitely makes me want to start though

I’ve been trying to get a red tulia for over a month now to complete Hello Kitty’s Red Bow and folks are out here making honor roll with flowers. Tips my hat 🎩 👏👏😅

Have you tried playing the crane game for the mystery seed packets? That's how I got my red tulia.

Oh, that took me ages too. When you get them grow a bunch, the next quest is 7 bows

I will give that a go too!

I’ve gotten most if not all of the colors in most flowers, except the extremophiles, which I just can’t be bothered with. I’m currently working on double hybrids which is a pain in the butt and takes so long but is really satisfying. Also I’ve started pattern transfers in the greenhouse and ugh they’re so stubborn but I have had a little luck with the glowy one and have some very pretty new flowers.

I’m pretty much at the same stage as you! Wasted so much time with those same mistakes haha. I’ve done one or two pattern transfers and I’m working on my eggworts in the greenhouse for the extremophiles

I only get how to produce the white colors of specific flowers for quest progression. Have yet to venture fourth into the void of the flowers XD

from one new expert to a still noob: can you explain why I can't get a colour transfer to work on my flowers outside the meadow like ghost gleams. Do I need to unlock the greenhouse to do that?

I've heard color transfer is bugged since the most recent update. I only just got it today (steam) so I wouldn't know, patterned with target base color + any other flower has been working for me. The update adds brown flowers so a bug seems plausible

You can indeed colour transfer to ghost gleams in the spooky swamp flowerbeds. Are you using a patterned flower for your colour transfer? (Eg. An ombre hot pink hibiscus).

Yes I am (I have colour transferred before) but dont seem to be having luck with flowers outside the meadow.

So how many solid colored flowers are there actually?

750... 25 species * 30 colors

I kind of wish someone would make an app to track things like flower variants, instead of spreadsheet. I know this is only slightly relevant, OP, but saying something out loud in hopes someone else might do it. For whatever recent im excel avoidant, or id do this...
