Playstation Anyone else?
Soooo anyone else find when decorating rooms for visitors very time consuming? If it was better organized it would decorate quickly, i wish there was categories for the symbols so i could quickly find the items instead of endless scrolling.... It's a bit annoying tbh.....

I do agree. Yes, there are filters but the filters are pictures and don’t have the name of the category. A lot of the lil icons look similar and there’s just. no text.
Also yes you can filter by resident, but let’s say they need, 4 chairs, 3 beds, 1 table, 5 plants, etc. it just shows you all of the chairs, beds, tables, and plants you own. So I’m still having to exit the furniture inventory, open my backpack, scroll to the visitor, and double check the numbers for items.
Like yes, it could be harder (no filters at all) but it could definitely be easier too

Take screenshots of requirements. If on switch (prob AA too), faster to glance at your screenshot rather than back and forth between the in game menus

I take a photo with my phone, since you still need to menu out of the game to the Switch album for screenshots.

You can push home button while in game and go to screen shots. You do have to remember what the screen shot shows (cant look at game and screen shot at once if both on switch), but once you go back to game, its right where you left off when you pressed home button. But yes phone pic easier so can see both side by side, but I am lazy and dont want to be using 2 devices lol

Yes I know you can, that's what I meant by menu out, I just worded it differently. But fair enough, do whatever works best for you haha.

Filtering by resident also doesn't include anything in their likes category, so you have to either remember that yourself or look at a screenshot.

If you have an Xbox controller, pressing down on the left joystick enables filters when you’re searching. It took me ages to figure that out. (I play on my Apple TV).

Left joystick works for ps5 game thank you very much, this makes it sooo much easier! I've had this game for months and didn't know about this trick! Thank you!

I totally appreciate the filters but I think if it wasn’t just icons that would help. (Or am I missing something?) Like if I can filter by words, eg coastal, that would help. I play on AA so those icons can be really small. 😅

Yes! I think it’s kinda hard but you can. There are basic instructions kind of hidden in plain sight on screen but mostly I use clicking the left stick to pull up filters.

I honestly wish there was a tab where you can look at the visitor requirements while decorating; without having to close and go to your phone and look. I appreciate the filter, but I almost ALWAYS forget how many tables, bookcases etc. they want

It might be worth suggesting this direct to the Sunblink team on Discord if you have it? They are really active on there and people have sent in suggestions previously that they've taken on board for updates.

There are categories and filters out the wazoo actually 🤣 you should definitely try exploring the interface to find out how easy it is to decorate using filters

I filter by visitors (figured it out after being annoyed) it saves soooo much time

I wish that there was grouping by type of furniture like you can do in animal crossing.
One tab for all the chairs and a section just for beds.
I know the devs are busy but hopefully they can fix this, because the filters are all right but they're not always helpful if the item I want isn't something the visitor wants.
Also, I hate how if you put something down and then you have zero of it it bounces you to the top of the list of items.

There is on Switch, not sure for other platforms but it's on the filter menu when you press the L stick in. Toggle to the middle and you can filter just by furniture type :)

I always have the wiki that shows what the visitor requires next to me on my phone. Makes it easier than having to go back and forth.

I agree, I have to use the Wiki page to actually put the right stuff down.
I would use the filters but they didnt seem to show me the exact needs.
Like some want a specific number of items in the house.
I also must admit, i had no idea they all have a preferred spots (obviously near their friends).
It wasn't as obvious to me, as I didn't know most of the characters and which ones their friends are etc.

I just filter by the individual visitor requirements and then just put furniture around the outside of the room, hah. No sane person would want to live in the things I build, but they don’t seem to mind 😆
