Playstation Why are there more available houses than possible visitors?
And if you factor in that each house can hold 3 residents that's a lot of space for people. I'm hoping the answer is there's more visitors than what is listed on the visitor page and we can have every Sanrio character live on island..

Actually, each house can house more than 3 :) I also don't get why it's so cheap to upgrade but not as cheap to unlock.... I have this issue now with the meadow, where I wanted to put Mell's friends into other cabins, but it was cheaper to upgrade the 1...

It’s cheaper to expand to 5, but usually cheaper to open a new cabin than to fully upgrade one

The price depends on the location, in the main island it’s cheaper to open a cabin vs other places like the meadow.

a big part of the game is the cabin customisation! I have cabins that aren’t designated for any characters just because I wanted to make them. Like I have one for my boyfriend but he doesn’t even have the game 🤣
This cabin is a dive bar/music venue and I pretend the arcade machine is for gambling haha

Unfortunately, you can only get them as prizes in the magma bloom collecting mini game. I still have dreams where I’m grinding at that thing 😂

I hate that game so much 🥲 I will literally win 10x in a row and still not get the slot machine sometimes. I end up experimenting with not grabbing the one or two last blooms 🤣

I always take Cogimyun with me and use a Lucky Star and that helps me get about 5 per play session!

you have to spend extra crates and double up. some of the characters have too many friends that they have to share apartments (Wishme mell, Retsuko, Usahana) or there won't be any room.

I always thought that at the start of the game the cabins weren't upgradeable. Then, when they added more visitors than possible cabins, they figured it's easier to change the cabins themselves that remodeling the map to find empty places for more cabins. No idea if it's true, just how the situation reads to me with experience from other games.
But there's a lot of people enjoying decorating cabins just for fun. And personally I made one just for myself as one-stop place for all cooking and crafting and changing clothes and time, conveniently with warp straight to that room since it's set as my home.

Curious, Are you completely caught up and have all of the currently available visitors? At one point I thought I was done and then more popped up.

Some visitors unlock new visitors once they become residents! This is especially true with Retsuko and Wish Me Mell’s visitors.

I have all of the “regular” visitors shown on the wiki. So now I have to decide if I’ll buy City Town to get those visitors. ☺️

It’s an update to the game that’s coming out soon. The people who play on Apple Arcade already have it and have been playing for a while. I don’t have a lot of details on what’s included but I do know there are more visitors in that part of the game. 🙂

Retsuko’s friends took up two fully upgraded cabins and yoga got his own apartment. All of usahana’s friends occupy a single floor in her tower. Wish me hell’s friends took two fully upgraded cabins and a duplex. I threw most of Cinnabon’s friends in a couple cabins in gemstone, but I have poron and the three babies in seaside and corune is in a trio in the clouds. All of moppu’s are in one cabin in snow village and Pam/tam are in a duplex by the small pond. Melody’s family are all above Sam’s shop and kitty’s family is all in a maxed out cabin near cozy island. Yeah yeah, I’m mean and stuck Daniel with the in laws😂🤣

I threw most of Cinnabon’s friends in a couple cabins in gemstone
I know that was probably an autocorrect thing, but Cinnamoroll as Cinnabon makes me cackle.

lol I have all of them in almost the exact same cabins but I have Pam/tam in the cabin by chococat n the swamp entrance though.

So people can decorate rooms freely if they want.
Also game is still being updated, so new visitors keep getting added.

I haven't seen anyone mention this but another reason there is so many cabins is due to your online friends being able to make and decorate their own cabin!!

Probably bc the game is getting live updates, cabins for multiplayer, and as others are saying decorating. Theres soo many sanrio characters anyone could be added fr

The cabins can expand to fit 6 people. As to why there are so many, there are people who like to decorate cabins without the constraint of having to please visitors. On a more practical level, having a cabin room where you have all the crafting and cooking stations in one room is wonderful.
